hey obi wan how long would or should it take to do 100 black shirts 2 color image mostly white writing is red Manuel carousel one man operation seems that im taking to long what do you expect in your shop?
Thats is such a good question. I know what it should take on a manual. 100 shirts x 3 hits of ink (print flash print white) x roughly 24 sec for the load and unload. Im being generous there, and roughly 7 seconds for each hit of ink. would make print time estimated at roughly an 1 hour and 30 min including set up times. But I have see a job like that be difficult to set up or when I'm feeling sluggish take an entire 8 hour day. You just cant predict these things people try to but its tough.
thank you sir yea it took me better part of 12 hrs people dont realize running solo gets physical real fast anyway its helped living vicariously through you . im having a MAJOR problem thats costing my shop money i believe its a mental thing but some of my images are crooked due to shirt placement on the board that last order there was 12 that i had crooked ive tried everything is there a trick or im i just cock eyed ? thanks for giving back to the shirt family
Albert Thr3se7ens are you pulling back from the shoulder seams where the shoulder and sleeve meet? If your a beginner 12 out of 100 really isn't that bad assuming they are slightly crooked. You'll get it man... I been printing for 20 years and I can load in my sleep. Just takes practice.
I love your videos. I work at a much larger screen print shop and basically grew up working here. When you are in a larger print house, the art of the craft can get a little lost because your are so focused on getting the orders done. It is nice to be reminded that it is in fact a craft. I learn something every time I watch one of your videos.
Honesty is the only true currency. When you're unbiased and not partial your everyone's friend and everyone's enemy at the same time. Do what's best for you and hang in there. Keep up the vids.
hey cam, I started screen print thanks to you. It's been 3 years and I will get an automatic screen print machine within this year. Thanks for everything, and thanks for pushing me starting this adventure! cheers from france
I like how you are posting some videos even though they are not a total success. I own a screen print and embroidery shop and you help show we all make mistakes and it always does not work out the way it should. Keep it up and just remember every print is a learning experience.
Thanks Cam. Yours were the first screen printing videos I ever came across whilst researching my print life dream. Still in the very early stages. I always learn something from your videos. Always grateful.
I stumbled across your RUclips channel because my intro to print teacher brushed through all the screen printing shit I wanted to learn. You’ve taught me so much! And honestly you are entertaining AF. Thanks man for giving me hope to start on this journey.
Thanks Cam for sharing all your daily struggles and experiences of running a small screen print shop. Love all the vlogs and hope you keep up with the great work.
Thanks for doing what you do and being real at it....I am a one man show with help from the wife, not big at all I still have a 9 to 5 but find it funny that I still deal with the same issues you deal just probably on a way smaller scale but still frustrating...
Still really excited for the software Cam! The biggest problem with my shop right now is organizing of the jobs and keeping track of where they are in the queue. Also, having the ability to walk the customer through the website to order their garments will make ordering so much easier for me and the clients.
Keep up the good work Cam, I watch you all the time to remind myself it's worth all the work! People don't understand how frustrating screenprinting can sometimes be.
Got to say, your channel has been a huge help to me. I am looking to get started in screen printing and have been trying to gain as much knowledge as possible before diving in. Thanks for staying true to the actual experience both good and bad.
@@ThePrintLife no way Cam you notice my comment!! And no not really, you are very much motivating HAHA. Stay safe man more blessings to come and we the Print Fam will keep on supporting u. ✊🏻
I've been power watching a lot of your videos as I am about to add in screen printing to our current hpv business, and I have to say, what really drew me into your videos in particular, was how real and honest you are in your videos. It really wasnt to difficult to see in some of the videos after you mention looking for sponsors, that you were holding back a little or sugar coating things a bit. Don't get me wrong, every one of your videos is A++, but the content of you just being unfiltered you takes things to another level. Sure some people may be a little offended by some of the coarse language, but guess what, that's real life, and even if some people may not say some of it out loud, they are certainly thinking it... you just have the balls to say it... Enjoy your freedom... we certainly will.
Independence is the best choice Cam! I'm glad that's the decision you came to. I actually think it will help your channel grow faster and be more honest and consequently useful to the people. I really loved this vlogs longer format BTW. Also one thing I learned the hard way with comet white underbase is to be very careful to not over flash it otherwise the top coat will wash off. That happened on a small job I did and I caught it before giving it to the customer. Thank God. Look forward to your findings on the other manufacturers water based inks. I currently use only green galaxy and am not opposed to swapping over if the others are better. Keep it up Cam and do what makes you happy!
Cam, thank you for all your videos man. I'm just getting into screen printing and you videos are crazy informative, entertaining, awesome videography, just bad ass. Thank you!!!!!
Always look forward to your vlogs posting! Live shows are great too! You are a hard working dude! Appreciate all the info and entertainment Cam! Cheers!
Great meeting you and thank you for stopping everything to chat with me. Look forward to your continued success and remember I am just a phone call away. Peace brother! - Jesse Martinez
احبك يا رجل.. انا مستمتع بكل ما تقوم به واتعلم منك الكثير من الاشياء الرائعة.. حتى اللغة I love you man .. I enjoy everything you do and learn from you a lot of wonderful things .. even the language
I've been watching for a couple months now. Killer stuff. Working to start up a side hustle and get back in to what I spent money on college for. Shipping is the biggest hurdle for me here in southeast Alaska. I look forward to each new vid! Keep it up!!!
I pretty much do exclusively water based. I have a small operation and the biggest run i've done with wb is probably around 65 shirts. I have a couple jobs on deck that are in the 100's... it's gonna get interesting. It originally started because water based was a little more eco friendly for drains/cleanup etc. but I grew to love it. I just did gold on black with no underbase... I mix a little bit of white into the gold and it has a nice vintage look but also pops. This has worked well with just about every color i've tried on dark shirts. Wet on wet was always what I heard with waterbase and in a lot of cases is true but I feel I get better results on dark garments when I flash between hits just a bit. I'm about to print brown on black which i've never done, i'm gonna experiment a bit and see what can work without an underbase. Anyway i'm glad you're getting into more water based, it honestly feels like nobody does it. I'll also second everyone in the comments and say yea... you do you. True happiness and integrity > money.
Not sure how i found your channel, but im glad i did. Your confidence to show the good and bad of the daily print life is awesome. I have encountered many of the same problems. Good stuff. Thanks
Looking forward to hearing more about the software development. Just started my screen printing biz and I think shop management software is essential to stay organized. Keep doing your thing and don't try to please everyone!
stumbled up on your channel man! love the authenticity of it all! Screen Printing has 1,000,000 variables and no-one shows that shit when they post! props!
Hahaha, Cam... You ended up talking a lot of sense, i'm off work today and was flippin thru YT looking for inspiration, you definately helped with that. Patreon looks like the way to go bro, keep up the good work. Much love from Dublin IE, J

Life is a stressful thing sometimes and you just gotta roll with it but you seem to handle it well and I’m a new fan and follower and I’m not regretting it! Solid vlogs! Print Fam!
I just started using Galaxy after using Versatex for a bit. One thing I noticed is the Green Galaxy Comet White is thick as hell out of the can. Seems to print well though. I print one off or short runs so haven't had issues with ink drying in the screen, fortunately. Appreciate your hard work Cam.
I know this is an old video but the message at the end really resonated with me. I have SUPER recently started trying to print tees for a small brand dreamed up by myself and my partner and I just wanted to let you know that your videos are literally OUR BIBLE. We have watched all of your shit and man, it's so freakin' useful and informative. We've both hit you up on Instagram to keep up to date with your stuff. Keep it up man, your content is fantastic.

Ok great yeah you prob. right and i am a rook thnx for the advice
It should take as long as it takes you. There is no standard time, Manual printing is very time consuming dont be to hard on your self,
I love your videos. I work at a much larger screen print shop and basically grew up working here. That's a great way of putting it. Thanks for chiming in Brett.
