What makes season 3 so great is that their isn’t a single bad episode. The first few episodes are a bit slow but it’s still exciting because there are new airbenders and we keep getting snippets of zaheer breaking his crew out. Another big plus is that we got to travel the world instead of staying in republic city. From this episode onward each episode just gets better than the last. :)
100%agree for real the best season in the show. The storytelling In this season is sooo deep and then folds over to the next season perfectly. Even tho the final season kinda sucks lol
"Bolin can land a shot" I love the confidence Mako has in his little brother , as a younger siblings I can confirm this does provide a moderate mental amp
4:49 Aiwei mentions the toxic is from the shirshu (don't know how you write it) it's the same animal which June used in Atla. It paralyzes you on the spot if you have contact with the skin. Korra was awake the whole time, but couldn't do anything

My theory: the reason Zaheer didn’t do what he did to escape earlier is actually because he didn’t get the chance to. He was in the process of attempting to do exactly that (“I’ll make us some cover” he says or something similar) when that main guard wrapped him up in cables and pulled him away from his group.

The end of this episodes proves that Su never learned a thing and that she was absolutely wrong about "people" can change. She made the exact same choice she would have when she was younger. She did what she wanted to do, forget what Lin said, damn the consequences. And it ended up with everyone getting captured.
Sparky-sparky Boom Chic is one of the best characters. Your estimation of Zaheer's crew is valid. But you underestimate the extended team Avatar partly because you have seen them at some of their worst moments. Remember Team Zaheer was defeated before and some of the same people who helped defeat him then are still around. There is more to Tenzin, Korra, Bolin, Asami, Jinora etc. than you are recognizing.

Not to mention, the villains have great power, morality, and conviction. They’re possibly the best villains in the whole ATLA universe
