Man I'm glad you did this test, the P07 has been one of my go to carry and self defense guns for a while so I'm happy it did so well. Also mine is a lot prettier than your's so maybe I don't have to get mine dirty now LOL. Great Video man keep it up
@Honest Outlaw when are you gonna do a specific video review of your p07?? Its made a lot of appearances over the years but it'd be cool to see one of your typical formatted reviews of the p07
They are definitely doing things right on the manufacturing side. Unfortunately on the supply side they leave a LOT to be desired. As a CZ Fanboi, it's incredibly frustrating to find retailers with inventory.
After running a USP compact 9mm for years as my concealed carry, I trained with my P07 9mm and found my follow up shots are quicker and more accurate. This occured in all shooting styles. The P07 is now my everyday carry with confidence
It did really good. I went back and re watched the Glock video and it did as good as that and if the second strikes would have worked I think it would have done better.
I have the P09 in urban Gray it's awesome. However I think the P07 Urban Gray model is the better deal. It sells Just only $30-$50 more on average than the standard model, $600 was the cheapest I could find the urban gray P09 for. Also from what users say it can take CZ75 mags and of course it can use the P09 and P10c mags. I'm debating whether to get the new P10C or just get the P07 Urban gray. That way I'll have the matching set lol.
Yeah, that was a pretty big oversight on my part. I may wind up running this test again at the end of the summer because of it. I was treating it like a striker fired gun which I shouldn't have been. I had the FN 509 out there the same day testing and it had me in a striker fired mindset.
Tim can you make a leaderboard at the end of each reliability test videos so we the viewers have a better view of the best pistol on the gauntlet test? Maybe put the in order with first the pistol with the least malfunctions...a 10-position leaderboard maybe?
I think this would be great too, but I can understand why he wouldn’t. Like he said-it’s mostly for entertainment. If you were to start rating them it could potentially lead to unfair judgements based on the single sample tested. Hence the disclaimer.
Wver listen to a Paul herrel disclaimer... pretty basic but very true. NOTHING in a RUclips video would hold up in a court room. (Unless a biased DA was trying to do some BS charges).
That’s fine. Glock nor the buyers care at all. The Glock 17 is still the best performing handgun tested in MAC’s gauntlet test series. And I’m not even a Glock fanboy. Im actually thinking of adding a p07 to my collection. But it’s the fact that u pointed out your g19 as if it’s inadequate that made want to respond to your comment.
My po7 is my daily carry and also the gun I've used in 7 classes(350+/- rounds per class) the only problem I've had with it was a batch of bad remanufactured ammo. Love my p07! Thanks Military Arms Channel. Keep up the awesome work.
Same here, I love all CZs but the P07 and P09 are the first ones I could afford with out having buyers remorse. Although I ended up buying the more expensive urban gray tactical P09 so I still had some at first but it just looked so cool lol. After actually shooting it I'm loving it. So much so I'm debating whether I should get the P10C or just get the Urban gray version of the P07 as my next carry gun to have a matching set =P
It's funny I had heard about cz but never paid them no mind and I went in my local gun shop and the second I spotted a dark green and black p07 I immediately purchased it after how good it felt. When I came home and did my research I've found nothing but rave reviews and literally no haters on the gun. So I was happy I stumbled upon a true homerun of a pistol. Its my first hammer fire pistol and I couldn't be happier with it. Can't wait to get it to the range in the next few days!!
my P09 and current carry Cz 75D PCR have been nothing shy of spectacular. I'm yet to see a single malfunction with either and have ran Steel, Aluminum, and brass cased ammo through them as well as hollow points and the X-treme defenders with no failures of the pistols
Joe Martin same here, was a big fan of Beretta until they started making weird shit, converted to CZ, now a 75 PCR is my goto, lazerbeam accuracy and completely reliable so far.
I'm with you. I have more CZ's than any other brand for sure. For me I consider the CZ75B to be a perfect gun. The lines are beautiful and it's the only gun I could pick up and shoot great groups whether going fast or slow.
You rinsed it too much. You used the wrong sand. You didn't push it down as hard. The mud's too watery. You cleaned it off camera......... 😄 Seriously. Awesome vid and awesome sidearm!
Been waiting for a CZ test for a LONG time! Thanks Tim! One interesting thing is that you could test this gun again with the Safety in and do a Condition 1 and Condition 2 test also.
This is great! I have a P07 Urban Gray suppressor ready that I bought last year. It has been flawless through several cases of ammunition. It's nice to see the results of this study. I'm more confident that I have made a solid choice for my home defense pistol. CZ haters might say that you were being an apologist because you're a well known CZ fan, but you were being honest by recognizing that you didn't try re-strike, and that when you did, you cleared a clod from behind the trigger. That's legitimate, and I applaud you for your candor.
This is the proof that Ceska Zbrojovka a.s. is among the best makers!!! Nice video,as usual Matt!!! Please do the CZ 75 SP-01,one of the finest pistols ever mass produced!!!
I just bought one of these yesterday. I'm pretty excited to see it did so well. You couldn't have had better timing on this! Literally I bought it last night around 6 o'clock. Thanks for good timing Tim.
Honestly man it’s hard to not buy and sell guns based on your tests! You are providing a service in the form of these tests that is completely unbiased. Way to go P-07, and welcome to my carry rotation lol (Also… RIP VP9 & VP9SK) ;)
Glad to see the P-07 perform so well. This is my carry gun and I would never have the resources to do that kind of test. Now in order for me to carry I tested plenty of different ammo and never had one problem. A great gun. Accurate and extremely reliable! Keep up the good work on this channel!
Was looking forward to this vid. I really think that this pistol would have done just as well as the Arex had the second strike capability been utilized...which is incredibly impressive as no other pistol has come even close to doing so thus far. Thanks for the great work MAC.
I've owned my CZ P07 for 2 or so years it is the most favorite of my pistols to shoot next to my 1911. I am looking at picking up a P 10c and P09. Thanks for the video Gunny! Semper Fi!
Wow after watching the video the CZ did pretty dang awesome. I just re watched the Glock test video also and they both did very similar. Maybe even would have favored the CZ if you would have remembered to try the double strike capability as you mentioned. Regardless seems the CZ is up there in 2nd or 3rd place. Arex zero1 still holds the crown. I'm debating on buying either the P-07 urban gray Tactical model or the P10C. I already have the P-09 in the tactical version and it's pretty sweet. Now I eagerly await your P10C torture test...
Rock Star I haven't handled or shot a P10c but from what I've heard from youtubers and actual regular joe owners you are in a minority. Seems the majority is impressed with the P10c. Who knows I could agree or disagree with you once I actually get to track one down. I like the double action in the P09 so if the P10c doesn't impress me I think I'll go P07
Actually these purported test will have NO affect on manufactures. Since, this is not a test, not scientific or realistic conditions. Firearms industry already has a very stringent protocol of actual testing which is scientific, as well as conducting real world surrounding tests too. You should listen to Tim on this channel. In which he stated several times, that this sort of test he's conducting is mostly for "Entertainment Purposes." Which I agree with him. First of all...he's using a Sample of One, nothing is consistent, there's no baseline, and using Potting Soil, instead of the natural soil...please. I could go on. But something tells me, many of these commenters don't have any real critical thought process when it comes to thinking things through.
Rick S I do agree that it's primarily for entertainment purposes and that it's not 100% accurate to real world conditions, but it still demonstrate some of what the gun is capable of. You'd like to know that your gun is going to be reliable even in some adverse conditions. If a gun in this test just chokes up super easily, I wouldn't want it. That said, even if a gun passes with flying colors, it doesn't mean that it's necessarily the most reliable out there. It at least should give some idea of how reliable different guns are.
CZ already does similar tests in their gun promos - just with more realistic water, sand and muddy water + droptest from height and they even flamethrower the guns (with spray can) then load it and shoot :)
Hands down that’s your opinion and not a fact. Here’s two facts for u though. Glocks have the most proven track record of any handgun ever. Two, Glocks outsell CZ’s by a loooong shot. 😂
I think the slide lock worked so well because it engages the slide inside the frame so it isn't subject to a lot of debris. I love the slide-in-frame design of CZ's and pretty much everything else about them. This gun did really good in this test in my opinion. My dad has the P07 and the P09 I was amazed at how accurate the P09 was, and the P07 is a sweet little shooter too.
I used to think the slide was cumbersome to grab but knowing that the design is intentional for this purpose is pretty genius. It's nothing some training can't fix!
LMAO, bought my first one back in 2013 and it became my favorite DA/SA until I snagged a RAMI BD. But that's only because my P-07 now has a sweet 6.5# DAO trigger. ;-)
That was an awesome video! I just bought a CZ P-07 today and will hopefully have it in hand by the end of the week. I am very impressed with how the P-07 performed in your tests and while I don't believe I will ever subject it to what you did, it is comforting to know that it can and will, function for me in EDC conditions.
I think you were a little hard on yourself Tim. Between filming, narrating, conducting the tests, & trying to ensure that you maintain a fluid timeline video that is quite a multitask operation. No one is perfect & you produce quality vids on a regular basis. Keep up the excellent work. Your audience enjoys you & the vids you produce.
My favorite thing about this channel is the fact that you're always straight up with us! Thanks for the wonderful content Tim and crew! And id call the failures here today human error for the most part. So to me, near perfect test.
I never understood why the M9-A1 isn't more popular. They are really good shooters, well designed, great sights, etc...They point extremely well too. I dont know how well it would do in the gauntlet, but in normal conditions they work well.
Very impressive results, and as you have acknowledged in some of the other comments your treating this pistol like a striker gun rather than a DA/SA, this pistol might deserve retest later to see if it can get through the test without have to manual cycle it to clear any possible failure to fire's. CZ continues to impress me with products such as this and others, such as their BREN series of rifles/pistols and Scorpion carbines/pistols.
You could conclude that if you had pulled the trigger a second time on the light primer strikes it may have gone off. The failure to go into battery would of been the only malfunction. Top 3 finishers. Solid performance.
Yes, I agree. I hate that I didn't pull the trigger a second time to give it a chance. Because of that I may re-do the test later in the year. If it gives a better performance I will post it. If it's the same, I probably won't unless people want to see a repeat of what's already been done.
Maybe do the Arex and the P07 again down the road. I imagine these tests are time/money consuming when it is all said and done, but you guys make it look easy and entertaining on camera.
Awesome video Tim!! Been waiting for this one awhile. I have both the P09 and P07 and they're awesome guns, for the money I think they're one of the best values out there. Again thanks for the videos Tim, semper fi
Thanks Tim! I've been waiting for this one since I bought one of these last year. I was pleasantly surprised. Now I have to add my voice to what I'm sure is everyone else asking to see the P-10C. Can't wait to see how CZ's first striker fired guns holds up to the Gauntlet!
alrighty so the P-07 did great. Now let's try an alloy or steel framed CZ like the one you're carrying! It never occurred to me that yeah, the internal rails are an advantage when it comes to ingress points. It's probably why CZ made sure their P-10C has no side ingress points on its slide either (like how the slide-stop interfaces on the bottom of the slide, not the sides).
Yes, but it didn't get clogged to the point of stopping entirely. That's what I expected. I don't remember which pistol Tim tested that did that, but I know one of them got too much junk around the hammer to function.
You know MAC, you cold use a flat board that fits inside of the containers and a weight to apply and even amount of pressure to all of the firearms for an even more consistent test.
You are completely correct. These tests are meant to simulate real world situations. These tests have also turned into a series of comparisons. The more consistent you are with the testing the more comparable the results will be. I am not suggesting that MAC does the math to determine the surface area of the side of each firearm to know how much weight is required to have an exact test each time. That would be insane.
You should try and make it as consistent and scientific as realistically possible. There is literally no downside to making it more consistent. If one "drop" gets the gun dirtier than a different "drop" than what is even the point of the test?
I love my P-07. I have only ever had one failure with it and it was caused by faulty ammunition from Winchester. The case was just a hair too long and would not allow the slide to go all the way forward. Otherwise, my P-07 has never failed mechanically on me.
It's understandable why you didn't use the second strike on it, you use a lot of striker fired guns and I think that you are more used to those. Not a big deal at all.
Kyle Rainer lol I know, I use both striker fired and DA/SA guns. I'm just saying that we are creatures of habit and when you mainly use striker fired your gonna get in the habit of tap, rack, bang. Which is why he did that.
Yup...I think doing All the guns a dozen times would be awesome...I understand it may not be feasible but anything can happen with 1 test...good or bad. And since people DO judge these tests as more than just for entertainment it would a solid thing to do.
Eugene Johnston ummm no!!! It had a hiccup in the initial test!! Lots of the guns made it through this with no hiccups! It's not right behind the AREX! Hell its not even behind the Glock, or Beretta! They had no problems in the initial test!!!
Mac you just made my day, I've been waiting for this test a while and you just made me feel better about my choice for My edc . Thanks for your great channel!
I'm probably the only person who will ever request seeing the budget Taurus PT111 G2C Millennium vs the gauntlet. I just bought the CZ P-07, and I love it.
Maybe this wouldn't be enough for another video, but I'd love to see you explain "second strike" and try to simulate the malfunctions you encountered here but try overcoming them by pulling the trigger again. Just an idea.
Military Arms Channel That would be awesome. Part of the reason I switched from striker fired to hammer fired guns was because I've encountered several rounds of factory defensive ammo with either really hard or deep seated primers which resulted in light primer strikes. Love my CZs.
And this was posted on my birthday!! Regardless of how it performed, I was still going to be happy with my recent purchase. Paid for this gun last Friday.. Either tomorrow or Friday it'll become my new carry gun!! Very happy with the results!! Crazy cause I was torn between the CZ P07 and the Arex Rex Zero.. Wanted a hammer fired gun other than my RIA 1911.. The P07 had the next best test to the Rex Zero so I am very pleased!!
This one did great. I have never given much thought to CZ until the year or so... They make great firearms, in my opinion some of the best on the market today.
Would like to see some other da/sa polymer handguns like the px4 carry, fnx 9, usp, p30, p2000, sp2022, bersa thunder pro, eaa, grand power k100, etc...... and see how they do compared to the p07. Man you could make gauntlet videos of just polymer da/sa handguns alone for the next 6 months lol. These are probably the most interesting gun videos on RUclips at the moment. Keep up the good work.
This will be my first CCW
Just picked one up for CCW. It's replacing my P01 Omega. A bit lighter and nearly as accurate so far.
It ain't pretty no more
CZ seems like they are doing things right.
Chris Mariani for sure. I need one.
Chris Mariani they are the biggest gun manufacturer in the world
They are definitely doing things right on the manufacturing side. Unfortunately on the supply side they leave a LOT to be desired. As a CZ Fanboi, it's incredibly frustrating to find retailers with inventory.
Mattism78 keeps them mysterious
Scott Pochini, no they aren't. Not even close.
After running a USP compact 9mm for years as my concealed carry, I trained with my P07 9mm and found my follow up shots are quicker and more accurate. This occured in all shooting styles. The P07 is now my everyday carry with confidence
You should do a BEST OF THE GAUNTLET - and have the top 3 guns do a continual test to see which one makes it the furthest !
I would have liked to see what a 2nd trigger pull would have done on that first hiccup. I still think it did pretty damn good, glad I have a P-07
It did really good. I went back and re watched the Glock video and it did as good as that and if the second strikes would have worked I think it would have done better.
Grant M I've been waiting for this test. i wanna get a p07/09 urban grey. For sure.

Tim's honesty is always highly appreciated... Great review, as usual !
Friendly regards from Switzerland
My personal favorite handgun. CZ's are just well-made guns and extremely reliable. Traded a G19 for it and never looked back.
So did i lol
Michael H. Same here haha
Me three. favorite pistol in my collection. Will never buy a Glock again lol
Same lol
I trust my life with my p07 above anything else
That’s fine. Glock nor the buyers care at all. The Glock 17 is still the best performing handgun tested in MAC’s gauntlet test series. And I’m not even a Glock fanboy. Im actually thinking of adding a p07 to my collection. But it’s the fact that u pointed out your g19 as if it’s inadequate that made want to respond to your comment.
I am one of the guys that kept requesting a CZ. I had a feeling that CZ's unique rail would do well. I gotta admit though, I am a bit of a CZ fanboy!
me too lol I have 5 CZ pistols(3 75s, a p10-c and a p07 ), a scorpion evo 3 and two vz58s
As we all should be💘. P10s P09sr Bren
Love CZs. Own two the P10C and the P07 with more to come
If it’s not a Glock or Sig. I don’t want it.
@@itscwillis1523sigs legion can’t even make it to the gauntlet lmao.
Sigs are nice shooting, but their reliability doesn’t backup their price.
After watching this I am going to walk over and give my P09 that pulls bedside duty a pat on the backstrap.
hanzo52281 what size backstrap do you use? ive been back and forth between S and L
I like to stroke the slide until it discharges. Only the best for my pistols....LMAO
My po7 is my daily carry and also the gun I've used in 7 classes(350+/- rounds per class) the only problem I've had with it was a batch of bad remanufactured ammo. Love my p07! Thanks Military Arms Channel. Keep up the awesome work.
Holy shit, the P O7 is a beast
official beast mode
I've a big fan of the P07/P09 line of pistols.
Same here, I love all CZs but the P07 and P09 are the first ones I could afford with out having buyers remorse. Although I ended up buying the more expensive urban gray tactical P09 so I still had some at first but it just looked so cool lol. After actually shooting it I'm loving it. So much so I'm debating whether I should get the P10C or just get the Urban gray version of the P07 as my next carry gun to have a matching set =P
biggboysouth stay hammer fired lol
biggboysouth Get the P10C,you won't regret it. It also passed Tim's test with flying colors.
Love the shirt, so glad you finally got to a CZ. I'm definitely happy with the results & continue to be a CZ hammer fired fan boy. Good stuff sir!
Don’t sleep on the P10C, it also did well in the guantlet
It's funny I had heard about cz but never paid them no mind and I went in my local gun shop and the second I spotted a dark green and black p07 I immediately purchased it after how good it felt. IMO..... Best test yet. Glad you did the CZ. Good work sir.
I didn't expect you to go to a CZ so early, honestly thought you were gonna tap dance around it with 10 more different guns. Very happy you did.
Since so many people use Cajun Gun Works parts it would be cool to see a fully Cajunized P07 tested. Really appreciate these tests.
Truth is, just changing the hammer and some springs won't really affect the test much
I nearly Shat my pants when I saw the thumbnail, about dang time Tim!
This was my first handgun purchase about 10 years ago. It is a solid handgun, thousands of rounds through it at the range. Very good da/sa carry gun.
FINALLY!!!!!!!! I love my CZs
my P09 and current carry Cz 75D PCR have been nothing shy of spectacular. I'm yet to see a single malfunction with either and have ran Steel, Aluminum, and brass cased ammo through them as well as hollow points and the X-treme defenders with no failures of the pistols
Same! Love my P09 and PCR. I'm a Beretta fanboy convert. No need to look back. CZ all the way!
Nickolas McCollum p09 Fan here
Joe Martin same here, was a big fan of Beretta until they started making weird shit, converted to CZ, now a 75 PCR is my goto, lazerbeam accuracy and completely reliable so far.
I'm with you. I have more CZ's than any other brand for sure. For me I consider the CZ75B to be a perfect gun. The lines are beautiful and it's the only gun I could pick up and shoot great groups whether going fast or slow.
I am impressed. A great contender for the PPQ and AREX.
You rinsed it too much. You used the wrong sand. You didn't push it down as hard. The mud's too watery. You cleaned it off camera.........
😄 Seriously. Awesome vid and awesome sidearm!
I never doubted the CZ would come out well in this testing. I think the "inside" slide design is what really helps...
Been waiting for a CZ test for a LONG time! Thanks Tim!

@ 3:20 a little squirrel or something pops out on the left, starts running for the target, and then is like "Man I made a big mistake" lmao.
XFourty7 hahaha. Had to watch again.
XFourty7 chipmunk!
Yeh laughed at that. It got almost to the target then was like shit I am under fire and beat feet.
Nice catch
I would have missed that if I hadn't read your comment.
I got a CZ P-09 a couple weeks ago and I am satisfied by the results of this test.
and your beloved P-01 ?? when will u test it on the gauntlet?
I'd love to see that or the sp-01
+Bump
I was gonna comment that lol
2 years later still no test
Probably the best selling pistol in South Africa.
About what I expected. The 75 B would be an interesting gun to go through the test. At least for comparison.
@3:25 a chipmunk or something runs in from the left, then turn and runs back to the treeline. RUN little buddy! :)
Great job CZ!
These vids are entertaining with breakfast. P07 is one of the most underrated, best-buy handguns available.

CZ already does similar tests in their gun promos - just with more realistic water, sand and muddy water + droptest from height and they even flamethrower the guns (with spray can) then load it and shoot :)
This is the first handgun I purchased from a friend about a year ago. I was proud when I bought it and I’m even more proud after seeing this.
Hands down CZ's are the best quality handgun on the market.
Hands down that’s your opinion and not a fact. Here’s two facts for u though. Glocks have the most proven track record of any handgun ever. Two, Glocks outsell CZ’s by a loooong shot. 😂
One of my favorite handguns. Good video MAC.
SHHHHH you're letting the secret of CZ out. :P
What secret? Jeff Cooper made CZ popular back in the 70's.
P07 NOW SOLD OUT LOL
Brandon Berry haha so true... before video... "What's a CZ? It's not a Glock I've never heard of it...." 20 mins later "I'm buying a CZ!"
Brandon Berry I bought mine after watching iraqveteran888 video on it a year ago
Wonder how many where sold after this video was uploaded.
Awesome! I would still love to see a Springfield XD meet the gauntlet.
Ben Dummer Same here.
Ben Dummer same here. My next purchase has come down to between the p07 or XD.
Springfield and Rock River Arms can eat a bag of dicks for what they did to us
+Stephen Ross p07 hands down
Thanks for testing the P07. I'm glad to see it did well. You have the best RUclips channel around.
This is probably the best aside from the Arex. Impressive.
TacticalDesire Almost, the PPQ didn't fail during the elements test. The only failure came when MAC slammed it into a seizure.
TacticalDesire Walther PPQ.
TacticalDesire yeah it's second to the Rex, but it doesn't have a safety.... so it's arguably number 1.
James Fischer the Walter didn't handle water well if I recall.
Walther
Just picked one of these up! Very impressed with the quality for it being a relatively inexpensive piece.
I think you were a little hard on yourself Tim. Between filming,
narrating, conducting the tests, & trying to ensure that you maintain a fluid
timeline video that is quite a multitask operation. No one is perfect & you
produce quality vids on a regular basis. Keep up the excellent work. Your
audience enjoys you & the vids you produce.
My favorite thing about this channel is the fact that you're always straight up with us! Thanks for the wonderful content Tim and crew! And id call the failures here today human error for the most part. So to me, near perfect test.
I think it would be interesting to see how a Steyr M9-A1 would do. Don't seem to hear about those too much.
I never understood why the M9-A1 isn't more popular. They are really good shooters, well designed, great sights, etc...They point extremely well too. I dont know how well it would do in the gauntlet, but in normal conditions they work well.
Looks like one of the best runs through the test I've seen.
Great video! Love my P07!!! Only thing I'd like to see is slimmer controls....the decocker/ slide release are a bit chunky....
David Bertram , I love my CZ-07 .40 cal. I agree about the decocker and slide release. Great Gun.
Very impressive results, and as you have acknowledged in some of the other comments your treating this pistol like a striker gun rather than a DA/SA, this pistol might deserve retest later to see if it can get through the test without have to manual cycle it to clear any possible failure to fire's. CZ continues to impress me with products such as this and others, such as their BREN series of rifles/pistols and Scorpion carbines/pistols.
further validating why I carry a P07... love my pistol.
Very good test …glad to know that my CZ -P07 Can stand up under those hard conditions..CZ is one of my favorite gun manufacturers..
Thank you Tim, been waiting for this one. I had a good feeling it will do well. Happy to call the P07 my EDC. Greetings from sunny South Africa.
I think Tim unconsciously sabotage himself in this test because he loves CZs! Hahaha
Just kidding, great video again!!
Awesome video Tim!! Been waiting for this one awhile. I have both the P09 and P07 and they're awesome guns, for the money I think they're one of the best values out there. Again thanks for the videos Tim, semper fi
Love these videos! Looking forward to seeing how a PX4 will perform.
Love seeing this as I just bought a P07. Carried a 1911 and an M92 for Uncle Sam, and the P07 felt like an old friend.
Can you try the HK USP 9mm plizz?
@ 3:23 - 3:25 that mouse that ran out from the left of the woodline toward the target deserves a cameo credit.
Now we need a metal frame CZ!
There's already a ton. You can even get them in this size category.
The p01 is the metal frame equivalent to the p07, but I'm assuming you meant we need to test a metal frame?
Pick up, and shoot a shadow 2, and try to say that again.
That's what they started on and gained a worldwide following with
And are one of the most copied manufacturers as well
Thanks Tim! I've been waiting for this one since I bought one of these last year. I was pleasantly surprised. Now I have to add my voice to what I'm sure is everyone else asking to see the P-10C. Can't wait to see how CZ's first striker fired guns holds up to the Gauntlet!
CZ P-01 Omega Compact, who's with me on this?
Not sure he's willing to do that.
+1
Don't be too hard on yourself, Sir. You're doing us all a huge favor by doing these videos. Plus, the shirt is awesome.
alrighty so the P-07 did great.
Love my p10c tactical
Great results. I’ve got the P-07 and I’m extremely happy
Been waiting for this for a long time. Curious to see how the hammer is affected by the elements.
I expected the hammer to have a problem. Very impressive!
A Stang it did!! It didn't make it through the initial test without a failure!!
Yes, but it didn't get clogged to the point of stopping entirely. That's what I expected. I don't remember which pistol Tim tested that did that, but I know one of them got too much junk around the hammer to function.
Just got a CZ and I'm glad to see the functionality of this pistol. Great vid bro...thx
You know MAC, you cold use a flat board that fits inside of the containers and a weight to apply and even amount of pressure to all of the firearms for an even more consistent test.
jake douthitt ^ this. Best idea I've seen on here.
It's supposed to simulate a drop. I don't think the tests should be overly scientific because nothing happens in the field that is that consistent.
Problem is, that's one of the main arguments for using a hammer fired gun.
Dana Greene like he said, this is supposed to be fun test, which dictates what we all buy lol.
Kyle Rainer lol I know, I use both striker fired and DA/SA guns. I'm just saying that we are creatures of habit and when you mainly use striker fired your gonna get in the habit of tap, rack, bang. Which is why he did that.
Except that on some of these videos with a striker-fired pistol he keeps pulling the trigger on a "dead trigger".
Dana Greene his carry gun is a CZ P01 which is DA/SA, which means he needs to shoot it more
its nice seeing a weapon you own do so well!
you should probably do the rex again since it could have been a one time wonder.
+Bing Bong We've discussed that too.
Military Arms Channel
Do you think the trex was a fluke? Or a real tac driver?
I'd like to see that as well. If it even does as well as the P-07 did, that would be impressive.
Yup...I think doing All the guns a dozen times would be awesome...I understand it may not be feasible but anything can happen with 1 test...good or bad. And since people DO judge these tests as more than just for entertainment it would a solid thing to do.
We could take the top 3 and run them against each other for day 5 tests to see which has the best average.
Love my P07 and P09s. ..Incredible value and performance.
P07 second only to the TREX!
Eugene Johnston Walther PPQ.
Eugene Johnston ummm no!!! It had a hiccup in the initial test!! Lots of the guns made it through this with no hiccups! It's not right behind the AREX! Hell its not even behind the Glock, or Beretta! They had no problems in the initial test!!!
Actually the Glock did just as well if not bette than the P07, nice try though e
Mac you just made my day, I've been waiting for this test a while and you just made me feel better about my choice for My edc . Thanks for your great channel!
Do a top 5 Gauntlet showdown.
Military Arms Channel i think, has the best gun channel intro of all online gun channels.
every model of cz pistols just sold out all over the country lol
I'm probably the only person who will ever request seeing the budget Taurus PT111 G2C Millennium vs the gauntlet. I just bought the CZ P-07, and I love it.
Maybe this wouldn't be enough for another video, but I'd love to see you explain "second strike" and try to simulate the malfunctions you encountered here but try overcoming them by pulling the trigger again. Just an idea.
+Jordan Linscheid I'm so mad at myself for not pulling the trigger a second time (like I have in the past) that I may redo the whole test.
Military Arms Channel That would be awesome. Part of the reason I switched from striker fired to hammer fired guns was because I've encountered several rounds of factory defensive ammo with either really hard or deep seated primers which resulted in light primer strikes. Love my CZs.
Military Arms Channel I wouldn't bother retesting. Too many other pistols to test!
The P07 had the next best test to the Rex Zero so I am very pleased!!
wanna see the P10C test
This one did great. I have never given much thought to CZ until the year or so... They make great firearms, in my opinion some of the best on the market today.
Beretta APX please!
He said he will be doing that one this year.
i hope
the slide serrations were a no no.
Love my P07!! I use it for my EDC. It's definitely a work horse.
I tried "hardly" pulling the trigger but found pulling harder worked more goodly....I mean gooder......aggghhh
I ditched my glock 19 a year ago in favor of a P07, I have to say that it instantly became my new favorite handgun.
Scared the shit out of that chipmunk @ 3:24
I was trying to do more than scare him. :)
😂😂😂😂
Would like to see some other da/sa polymer handguns like the px4 carry, fnx 9, usp, p30, p2000, sp2022, bersa thunder pro, eaa, grand power k100, etc...... and see how they do compared to the p07. Man you could make gauntlet videos of just polymer da/sa handguns alone for the next 6 months lol. These are probably the most interesting gun videos on RUclips at the moment. Keep up the good work.
