A lot of people like to power launch it but if you ease first gear by gradually adding throttle till you hit 5-6k rpm, you can get it down to 3.5 to 4 second 0-60. The viper v10 was designed have 550 lb of torque from 1500 rpm so high rpm shifts wont give you any more power than just going through the gears, and doing so can hit 60 at the top end of 2nd gear. Mine has a full exhaust so it sounds exactly like a viper, lowered so it handled curves better, short throw shift helps that 3rd and 4th feel more accurate, and more accurate gearing from the transmission back to the rear end to make it smooth and fast like it's car counterpart.

@@danieldonahue3293 I spent over $4500 in mine and went all brass fittings and carbon fiber synchro rings. I also had the rear end regeared for less torque but more high end power so I can launch in 2nd gear and not loose traction and hit 0-60 in 3 seconds. I think I could do a 6 second pass on the track or close to it, did a push on a long country roads and it quickly became a short trip with me hitting 125 mph around 3800 rpm in 5th gear.

I’m changed camshafts, and now it’s goes like Ferrari on high rpms, but lower then 3000 rpm no torque at all.

That's one of these cars that the enthusiasts should know about, but its also very specific and american xd but you can't deny that a V10 sports car from 2000s isn't cool.
    Great review as always :)

I would just like to point out that The Ram srt10 is still the Guinness book of world records as the fastest production truck and has been since 2004 a lot of people think that the TRX is. But even though it’s quicker it’s governed at 118 but the srt10 can get up to 154

Awesome video. You should do more enthusiast vehicles from 2000 to today.

Lol ram started the fast truck productions before the other two did. The first truck ever was their lil red Express. There was a couple i can't remember but then by the time GMC made the syclone then gm had the fastest production truck and SUV. Ford had a rare sho edition pickup but never hit production and i believe it was before the syclone came out. All three have been battling on to be better than the other lol which is cool

Honestly that truck looks like it was ridden hard and put away wet for only 46,000 miles. I have one with 25,000 and it is cleaner than brand new. The trucks all came with keyless entry so the fob for that truck is missing. A few simple upgrades and they are so much fun.

I have an 05 hemi version of this I bought new and the only thing I won't do is throw it around corners because it's way too tail happy. Brakes are good, power is good. I always liked the V10 but was out of my price range at the time

"Yeah that's fast...but is it viper engine fast?"
Literally just drop a viper engine in anything and it sorts itself out

The V10 went back into a Truck. The "Viper V10" was in the early to mid 90s Ram 2500s as a Magnum V10 as the option to then 12/24v Cummins. Ford had the 351 Windsor in the Gen1 Lightning, eventually the 5.4L Supercharged in 2000+.. Chevy had the 454SS and eventually the Silverado SS and Dodge had the Dakota RT form 98-03 (though a midsized truck that was the same as a Ranger/S10 that was punching up) with the Magnum 360; 5.9L With the end of the Dakota RT in 2003, dodge needed a new king in their street truck line, hence the 2004-2006 SRT10 Ram, which tag-teamed with that generation of Viper. Thats why the Dakota and the Viper shared more than the same hub/bolt pattern, but the previous gen Viper also had the same control arms as the Dakota. One can also argue that the Dakota had Viper control arms too, just depends on chicken vs egg lol So with the right thickness of hub spacer, you can run EVERY 6 lug wheel from 1992-2016 on any 6 x 114.3 pattern Dakota, and the brakes. Though today people upgrade to the Hellcat brakes.

The 8.3l and 8.0l are two different beasts the 8.0l was part of the magnum family of engines which is a Chrysler line of engines but the 8.3l came from Lamborghini when Chrysler and Lamborghini was partnered but there both great engines I’ve got both

Lower towing capacity with a manual? Big rigs have manuals too. I’m sure it’s a durable enough gearbox to complete with the automatic, those 6 speeds can take a beating for sure

Heh. The Foreign Auto Connect fuckers live right around the corner from me, and they're always ripping through the neighborhood in Audi's, Mercedes-Benz etc.
Kinda' weird to see a RUclips review with the I-69/SR 37 being the location. Surprised the road pirates didn't get ya'... About the time you were filming this, they had nailed me with close to $500 in fines & fees right there, when I was driving one of the slowest vehicles known to man. 🤦

Dodge had the Dakota R/T, they just (imo) came with a poor transmission choice. Should've been offered with a manual but they only had farm truck transmissions and the viper t56 which is a little overkill

The plastic fantastic knocks were always kind of low blows for sub 2008 vehicles IMO. Every car you got in back then, even the actual Viper, the same things could be said.
