Thank you for a beautifully detailed video. I just purchased the app this week and am still walking my way through it by trial and error. This was so simply explained. 🙌🏾👌🏾

I actually really dig it and I love the Ableton cloud design idea. I think I even asked for a feature like this a few years ago (before note was ever released). It works great on mini vacations or airplanes when I'm inspired. Personally, one feature I would really love to see is just a basic time stretching of loops. it doesn't have to be crazy but, just in like a 20bpm range would be nice. I have samples everywhere from 110BPM - 140BPM and that's the range I often work. it would be nice to get some time stretching so things just kind of automatically sync up for a quick workflow (not a in the weeds ordeal).

The single pad option is genius. Although I am a mac user, I have no ios device. Maybe there will be an android version one day.

bro just switch to iPhone. You will be blown up how well everything integrated and working. I just switched from Mac+Samsung S20+Garmin Tactix to Mac+iPhone 13 Pro max + ApplE Watch Ultra - and I should have done it A LONG TIME AGO.

I hate Apple. I have a iPad Pro an iPhone from a pixel 7, And I just bought a Mac mini it’s just better for music. I hate it. I miss my android life so much but my music workflow increased beyond the balance.

@@r3dsnow757 I’ve been using mashine2 a lot and it’s even running. Super smooth on my windows laptop so I don’t have to buy that book yet. But literally everything I own is plugged into the Mac mini, which I only use for music. I just can’t help myself. I always install other bullshit on windows. The Mac just has a ableton mashine2 and all my VSTs. The workflow on machine two is just so smooth, but I use ableton in order to achieve more ins and outs.

Useless to me if I can’t sequence. I want to add MIDI notes without playing them. You can hardly even edit the notes. You have to use these goofy nudge buttons. I want my money back.

Check out Beat Maker. Or Garage Band if you’re on iOS.

You’re right, Note isn’t great for that. Grooverider Gr-16 is a very robust step editor, not as easy to use diverse loops as Note, and not the usual midi grid experience, although you do have all the control any midi editor has, even more precise in many cases. Highly recommended, but granted not the fastest midi interface. Koala sampler has an excellent midi grid interface, not to mention lightning fast sample capture and editing capabilities. Yes you can edit midi on GarageBand, I just never really know where I’m at with that program though, maybe I’m dense but it’s clunky to get between features on that app IMO. Note, grooverider, Koala and AUM to easily capture anything else and integrate them is a hell of a workstation for well under $100. This is INSANITY if you have any idea what digital audio production cost even 5 years ago, forget about 30 years ago when I started. Thousands of dollars changed hands regularly for DAWs and sound libraries.
