This is how my side of the story goes.
I've known him since I was young. He is 3 years older than me and we were so close but like, no malice. We just enjoyed being around each other, together with my cousin as well as his cousins. Btw we are in the same barkada because we grew up always going to church. Going back, we live in the same hometown and had seen our ups, downs, tears and witnessed even the funniest and embarrassing moments in our lives. We've been each other's confidant on crushes and heartbreaks. Our barkada even knew who were exes with who.
Fast-forward last year 2020, I did not know he left for Manila. And heck it hurts. I never knew until his cousin told me because I was kinda missing his presence when I got back to our hometown. Honestly, I missed him. I missed his antics and sometimes, I find myself saying, 'hays, sayang wala siya dito. Siya pa naman yung mahilig gumawa nito tapos sasabihin, ganyan'. I found myself constantly thinking and even having dreams about him. I shrugged it off saying, 'nabigla ka lang, you'll get over it'.
December 30, 2021, I traveled back to our hometown to spend New Year's Eve there together with my granddad and fam. Then, that night, the church is having a prayer meeting as a year-ender. I did not know what to expect. And yes, he was there. All groomed and dressed up. My heart stopped. I tried so hard to compose myself and avoided having eye contracts with him. I hate having eye contact with people in general. It made me vulnerable so the whole night, I distracted myself with everything around me except him. We never talked that night but I knew I was on the verge of something I never experienced before. I've never had boyfriends before but I've had several crushes. Mahirap kasi ako magkagusto kasi di ko naman iniintertain but that night, what I felt was different. really really different.
But the dude's got a girlfriend so I'm just gonna keep this to myself and this playlist's comment section to know. HAHAHA. Now, I just wanted to get over him because I know, this can't happen. So, I'm minimizing our interaction as much as possible. Lowkey avoiding him cause I don't wanna bother his feelings and sabotage his current relationship.
I'll get back to this soon, when I've finally moved on and hopefully, if God allows, I find someone else. :)

Feel free to skip past this bit imma use this as a way to let out my feelings. Okay here we go... So starting in 4th or 5th grade, I had this crush. He also liked me so we "dated" for 2 months lmao. (we never even held hands 💀). Anyway, years go by and I stopped liking him. I developed other crushes and we became friends who barely talk. Y'know, just fellow classmates who talked every so often. Fast forward to now (5 years after I had a crush on him) I think I haven't gotten over him, and I never noticed till now. I've been dreaming about him and I so much and can't stop thinking about him. I've even been looking at our zodiac compatability and trying to figure out more things about him without actually talking to him. Here's the thing: I've always been comfortable around him, so if I wanted to talk and get to know eachother again, I think I would. However, my parents (especially my mom) do not want me around him at all. Not even talking to him. He's had some past mental issues and he's been arrested before (sounds horrible right?) You see though, I know that's not him, and I believe that he can make himself a better person, but my parents don't see that. Moral of the story is that I like this guy but my parents don't want me to be with him... So what do I do? :/
