I think what sets Brent's channel apart from the others, is his respect for the place he's exploring"! Great job Sir, Great job.👍💙🌟💙🌟💙🌟💙🌟💙🌟💙🌟💙🌟💙🌟💙🌟👍

Absolutely true! I thought the same throughout the entire video.
The genuine respect he has for the locations he films makes me have that much more respect for him. Unlike other explorers I’ve seen.
Such as Being gentle and closing doors he’s opened. It makes a difference!
      Great video Brent!

Brent, that has got to be one of the cleanest houses you've ever been into. Glad to see that it wasn't beat to death by punk kids. Somebody needs to save that house. It may be dated, but it's got incredibly good bones for a renovation.

Really cool tour and a very cool house. Call me crazy, but I'd love to live in that house just as it is. I love the 70's styling. Those Amerock switch plates bring back many memories from when I was a kid.

My in-law's home was built in the 70's, too, and they upgraded a lot but the parquet floors, the light switch covers, the mirrored closet doors, the shell sinks are all things my in-laws still have in their home!! I couldn't believe how many similarities there were!! Nice job filming and punching, too!! Stay safe

Although the styling of the fittings is dated, I did oddly like the retro feel of it. Besides the roof being in a bad state and being the precursor to leaks and large scale rot, the rest of the house was not in terrible shape. It felt lived in, served its purpose and probably had some stories in it. That unfinished or damaged remote controlled plane (you found the remote in another room) reminded me of a gift my cousins got decades ago when they were young.
It speaks to a bygone era of a middle class family to me despite the stairs with the gaps. I remember that growing up too in the one house cousins stayed in for a time.

Brings back memories of when I was a young kid in the 70s. I remember family and friends having houses with those types of fixtures and articles. Love it, too bad it will be torn down. Roof repaired, some remodeling, there’s plenty of life left in that house. Thanks for the tour. Cheers from the US

No vandalism! And what a weird staircase. Modern-style stairs but the railing, spindles, are all classic style. That’s the 70’s for you. Another great find. Thanks!

      Never leave them.
I'm trying to find at least 1994 for my family and I to move to, but I am a little discouraged at the moment.
I'm thinking somewhere in rural Missouri or Kansas.
Perhaps the cultural and spiritual degradation has not spread throughout the heartland yet.

  • @RaraAvis1138

The waste! It kills me especially when see items I could sell for veterinary services. Seeing all these places makes me so depressed for the state of everything. So many in need and houses full of reusable items. Those black bathrooms and the office couch?? That would pay my vet costs. All those kitchen items, fridge and stoves - I wish like heck they could be given to families in need.

Beautiful house Brent, somebody at some point way back when ,put some money into that place, with the Sauna and stuff in the basement, love the woodwork all through it, the downstairs oven was a little odd though, and the black bathroom fixtures, but, yeah, great place and nice to see that's not vandalized it's a shame if they do knock the place down, because with a little bit of money it wouldn't take much to bring it back, gonna buy you a Ko-Fi , stay safe, catch you on the next one

Looked like late 70s to me...not a stranger to those " open windows"in walls as my father-in-law did that to a few places too. The basement was an odd fit. The place seemed clean and almost livable, the rough basement was a surprise! Nice change, thanks for the tour. ☺

Is that what you are calling those creepy mirrored recesses in the basement? That little room with what looked like mirrors you can see through from the other side? That seemed super creepy to me, esp since we didn't get to see the other side of them.

    • @peleeprepper

The extra oven in the basement might be because the owner was Italian. Some Italian families have an extra kitchen in the basement for when the weather's hot, and if they used the main floor kitchen, it would heat up the whole house.
