I teach my son to put his hands up and do as he's told. Especially if he's still buttoned up in his 3pc suit and bowtie from school, he would be engaging in any kind of activity that could possibly ruin his good boy clothes.

Great. A child should keep screaming. Always keep space away. If they come near you must step back. This is great. Run away and keep your eyes open. Dont run in the middle of the street. Be safe. Never engage in a physical fight against an adult. Instead use pepper spray gel and train to use it in a situation like this. Training is key.

I tell my newphew yell fire because I feel adults will run to fire. But be afraid of a help. Run Look for an escape. A weapon from the environment ( like a chain, a brick, hand full of sand. ) eye poke groin kick
But people will look for smoke and stuff and when they don't see any, they may loose interest again
Worst advice. People don't run to fire, they run from fire. Also, how is a kid going to have the ability to visibly scan the scene for near by weapons, grab them and use them? Stop watching Jason Bourne movies

Where I come from when some one yells fire people run to help. When some one yells help. People don't know what they are going to be getting into. Is it a mugger. Is he 300 lbs. Do they have a gun. Is it a terrorist. , with fire every one knows exactly what the danger is going be. And are more likely to rush without thinking.
@@christophhoelbarth217 if you heard a kid yelling fire in a completely panicked voice would you think but I don't see smoke it must be fake. I'm just gonna keep walking and not look. ? I think most people will at least look and when they see the danger the kid is really in and then do what they can.
