sorry, I'm an audio engineer, but I don't really know anything about radio stuff. I know this is pretty insane signaling to sending, but what exactly does this do to the pirates? Is it some kind of jammer that they have the ability to filter out between their own operators so that others can't get at it? I literally have no idea haha. Is it supposed to hurt the pirates? Or just to be really annoying and get them off the line.
Don't know nothing about radio, although I do often get recommended these videos of Russian radio and mostly videos of people listening to Russian radio pirates play ridiculous stuff over the waves. And then also of course the memes where people make videos that look like Russian pirate radio stuff but they're just playing some meme content over it and pretending that it's a real IRL capture of a pirate broadcast.

This signal could've MAYBE fried a receiving parties tech if someone was listening too close with too much gain.

Hi Ben what you are seeing is spectral noise being injected on the main voice channel of 4625kHz that operates from 200 - 3400 Hz. The two Russian transmitters jamming were set at 4623.5 and 4627.0 transmitting Russian CIS-12 audio stages. this was done to block or push pirates off the main frequency of 4625 or any near by alternates. I defiantly enjoy working with audio and rf my self!
