I mean yeah but the show definitely should've ended after they got married, it tried to hold on for a few seasons but it really was just getting worse from the second season 6 began, and it just kinda died the second s8 began
@@charlotterouge8107 true, its just that a lot of shows rely on relationship drama, so they either make the relationship toxic,
have a constant back and forth or fail to portrait a healthy relationship and end up turning the two characters in to a weird blend nothing that no one wants to watch.
especially soap operas and shows alike tend to do this, since relationship drama is often times all they have.
@@charlotterouge8107 almost no relationships in media are healthy. Neither are the portrayed characters usually. One of the arguably most known couples, chandler and monica from friends, isn't really healthy. TV lives on drama, and healthy people usually don't cause a lot of drama, which makes unhealthy people the better TV characters. amy and jake are a very rare treat, as in the show provides enough drama and comedy that they can have an actually great relationship and make the show endearing.

Yeah, that's because those aren't the only two options. Why would you say there are two options? Absolutely baffling.
This is one of many reasons B99 is so good. Nearly every character is layered. Amy at first glance is a bit of a teachers pet. She definitely is this, but she also smokes, is known to get drunk now and then, and occasionally throws out innuendos.
Many of the characters in the show have varying characteristics that makes them more interesting. Some of their secondary traits, you wouldn't think would work for their character, but they do.
One of my favorite twists of characters (one i shouldve saw coming) was the scully and hitchcock flashback where they were the b99 precinct studs. Absolute gold
Layered characters are very interesting to watch. It makes it relatable since an individual doesn't have only one or two traits. But the good thing about B99 characters is that they're layered with just the right amount. Not much, not less. Just the right spot.
