tbf the reason why they removed a stun from neon, adding a little bit extra time, and buffing her crazy movement ability is so that she can compete with raze and jett. before she was more of a gimmick pick. if you were good at her and the map decently favoured her she was nice. now, she can compete because her entrying ability through going into enemy territory has greatly increased. yes raze nade is great and is rlly strong at clearing out space. but the main thing that makes raze good is her satchels. its what sets her apart from duelists like reyna, yoru, iso, and phoenix.

I have a lot of opinions on the game state. for context and disclosure, i am a radiant omen main, i coach friends and friends of friends occasionally starting with the developers in charge of making these changes. when riot made the big devlog announcing things like the replay system etc, what stuck out to me was the segment showing the team in charge of making changes to the game itself. so many alarm bells went off and my immediate thought was "these babboons can and will ruin the game, they have no idea what theyre talking about" to reword what they said, "were going to shape the meta and change things up", like im sorry, i did not know this was the shape the meta team? its the balance team. you balance things, you dont change things with the intention of bringing new agents into power and old ones out of power, its nonsensical in a game where people put hours into learning the nuance of agents, nerfing things (like raze satchel for example) is going to lose you so many players, imagine one nerf but it completely shoots down potentially years of muscle memory youve built up, hours youve put into customs etc. i mean imagine for a second if raze could be accurate whilst satcheling? there would be riots in the streets. people dont care yet because it isnt in their game. one thing the riot devs in charge of balance said during that video was that they did not want valorant to be an ability game with shooting, but rather a shooter game with abilities. and then they add this. the notion that valorant is not an ability based game directly contradicts everything you will ever see revolving around valorant. neon one tricks, raze satchel routes, omen one ways, fake tps, jett routes that include updraft dashing top gen of a site ascent, dashing over boathouse on B site- i mean just look at a single round of any pro game and try to say with a straight face that valorant is a "tactical" fps. its an ability based shooter and there is simply no argument against that fact, yet here we have the people in charge of the game itself, saying one thing and doing the complete opposite as i said earlier in my comment, the balance team babboons can, and at this rate, WILL ruin the game. they are so out of touch i genuinely want a study to be done on the people calling the shots there. how are we going to say "we dont want valorant to be an ability shooter, we want it to be a shooter with abilities" and then drop this neon buff. it directly contradicts what theyve said, the only thing aligning with what they said is that they will nerf certain agents and buff others purely for the sake of trying to shake up the meta, as if that will somehow do anything but piss people off whove sank hours into mastering those agents if there are not some management shifts in the balance team the game will die even harder than it has already, especially with the addition of clove, an agent so strong you are throwing if youre not playing her, like seriously her winrate is grotesque, pre nerf astra - chamber levels of strong. im not sure who thought full heal + shields back and a stim for good measure on a kill was a good idea when we have just nerfed reynas heal despite trying to buff her (we are comparing a controller to a duelist, just keep that in mind) but lets also give her the ability to self revive, because fuck you. clove is a duelist with controller smokes and is wildly unbalanced, is the balancing team even in the room with us or is it actually just 3 chimps and the immortal snail
