Well, it's awesome that the foals were born where they had 24/7care and they knew what to do for the birth defects, which is soooo important to treat as early as possible, many people are ignorant of what to do and they do die... this is so cute... love it
Mocha should be alright because the limb problem was found so early. The fact he is already trying to chase twin brother Cappuccino, despite bandaged legs is an extremely good sign.
Twins are rare in horses and cows. To have the mare yet alone one or both foals live is a miracle in it's self. Praise God for our hard working Veterinarians. Enjoyed the video intensely but your complete photos of the complete family of horses is covered completely with ADDS to your next video. Please keep the adds till the end so we can enjoy your pictures, Thanks.
Miracle thanks to ou, Dr. Schlipf!!! Beautiful man...God has many blessings for you!! And out two angels you saved!! may their lives be long, happy and healthy! YOU TOO good Doctor full of LOVE!!
This is crazy one of the horses I know exactly were it is. One of the baby horses is at a camp near were I live in Canada Alberta. For anyone wondering there both doing amazing and living a great life

Ciel Phantomhives Sugar Daddy Twins and orphan foals are infamous for their temperament and lethal attitudes as they grow. I've dealt with both in my time and the reputation is deserved. The second you begin bottle feeding a foal you have charted a course for disaster.
And the second they said, screw it, its twins, not worth the bother and expense, they are as good as dead. Which, in your exalted opinion, is the best course to have charted with these foals? Save them or let them die?
DoubleDogDare54 After they are born alive my preferred method would be to let the mare raise them herself, if she doesn't try to kill one (yes I've seen this happen), use milk replacer to supplement the mare's milk and feed it via a bucket with a nipple that slots through a hole in the stall wall. You DO NOT want these foals to associate you with the milk replacer, bucket or nipple. Worst case scenario is try to graft the foal onto an older horse, gelding or mare, and feed milk replacer as mentioned above. And you should NEVER resort to bottle feeding, it does nothing but create problems for whatever poor sap has to deal with these babies when they get older. But in all honesty you should have the ultrasounds done at day 16 and 21after the mare is bred to ensure that there aren't twins and that one is pinched if there are.
Great story, but then not letting that mom go and see her babies is really bothering me. Let go of the damn lead rope take off the halter and let her see her kids
Awwww luv vids w twins 💕 🐴 🐴 i am breeding to spooks gta gun in 2018 and I'm on the list for a Clinton Anderson horse. I'm currently recovering from hernia mesh surgery. But will be blogging that lol.
Twinning is common in Thorobreds, and sometimes in other breeds. However, usually an ultrasound is done early on to eliminate twin pregnancies. Someone slipped up on this one.
I ride and it’s very rare to see twin foals, most of them don’t live to adulthood, one of the mares at my stable had to be put down after at her old home they found out she had foals back to back, the reason she had to be put down is cause she couldn’t move with out being helped, they couldn’t do anything about it is cause the main pain was in her back legs and they can’t do anything much about the back legs, the front yes but if the back is broken then most the time they have to be put down
The people who think that all reproduction of every species of animal on Earth needs to be stopped instantly and every breathing thing needs to be sterilized. I'm not sure why they think as they do but it is pretty common with PETA People to hate anything that has a baby.
C Beta they probably just didn't have enough footage to go along with what they were saying. Plus repeating the same part doesn't add anything because the narrator still hadn't finished everything he was saying. Would you rather look at a black screen than a recurring shot?
It's a lead rope, and I'm sure they only have a hold of her until the cameras go away. It's just to keep her safe while a camera crew moves around, cause that could be a bit frightening.
For the safety of the foals. The mare weighs a half ton, the foals probably 50/75 lbs. If they aren't strong enough to stand and move out of her way, she could step on them and that would be the end of them. So by controlling her movements she can be kept with the foals and the foals can be kept safe from her unintentionally injuring them.
Weaning foals is a practice that needs to happen. If they aren't weaned, they can freak out later on in life if they're taken away and that can be dangerous. When the foals are weaned though, they are able to eat solid food, and survive without their mom (in a barn I mean, not in the wild) and of course they do see they're mom, or communicate across pastures unless they're taken to a new farm. Most horses don't see they're mother's after they are weaned though, but they survive and they are fine.
Didn’t you watch the video? The dam was there the entire time. They only stepped in to assist the mother. The one foal with the bandages on his front legs was having a hard time nursing. Weaning, as another person posted, isn’t until months later.
Foals usually can't leave the mare for a good couple months or more unless rare conditions occur. Naturally the mare starts kicking the babies away. The mom doesn't think the babies as their family to keep them around. At a certain point the babies leave to be on their own and what the weaning process occurs, each situation is unique. The owners tend to try to time the weaning before the mare could injure the foal trying to push them away.
story, comment and content are good but if you have videos, why not show them first, comment on it and show the pics in the end. why with all pictures and the suspense, all your vids is ruin by this type of story style . i have seen some of your videos its all alike. i got bored with some vids with time and got headache after. Just change the story style thats all. puts more vids that pics

Twin foals will usually die, at least one does. It is VERY rare to have twin Foals but even rarer to have healthy and both foals live😉

I think I'm going crazy but the baby foals look like bojack horseman as a child
"My syndrome may be down but my hopes are up"
-Mocha
Why doesn't the mom just communicate with another female horse, that can help out
They should help while letting the foals stay with their mother.
They are. What makes you think that's not the case?
Twins are VERY due to even ONe foal being hard to give birth to
Great story, but then not letting that mom go and see her babies is really bothering me. Let go of the damn lead rope take off the halter and let her see her kids
that's crazy. they expected her to have a normal baby but two baby horses came out instead... isn't the universe mysterious

Who are those dislikers ?

are the horses still alive
who else when they said "normal" babies thought it meant a human baby.......just me?.......ok
One of our horse last week gave birth to twins sadly both of them died during birth
QUIT REPLAYING SHOTS JUST SO YOU CAN GET MORE VIDEO TIME! BS AND IRRITATING!!!

This is a photo album. Laziness becomes you👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
that...had to be very expensive.
How I hate it then they show the same images over and over again.
We HATE IT when you keep repeating same footage over too many times like that.
cute
Why is mom always tied up??

I don't think she will step on her baby, OML that's crazy.
No intentionally, but with her size and their lack of mobility early on, it could happen.
My horse 🐎 got prego with twins before we got her and it's sad 😢 but the coals died 😢😢😢
Only Arabs have live twins, they somehow have a higher chance
Now I need some coffee xD
why dose not this guy have a real video on the matter
Eddie Rice probably just heard the story from an article and not all the footage was leeked so he didn't have much to use for visuals
So, did they allow visits w/ their mother? Or did they just tear them away from her, as is so often the case? Who took care of her?
Geezuz, Ruthie - Who pissed in your Cheerios this morning????????????????????????????
Just wondering----
Animals so often get the short end of everything! :(
