    Thank you for the most comprehensive videos about these heaters. I installed a new glow plug, didn't want to ignite anymore after only a couple of days of use. Still does not want to ignite, only feable attempt after manual priming and now smoke was coming from the glowplug when i turned it of, which i presume is not normal ? Opened it up to clean everything but not especially sooted although all the gaskets were old it seemed, ordered new ones.

    Good evening, I'm in a pickle with my heater. T'other week I had the E03 code. Changed the glow plug but couldn't get the atomizer out.
    It wouldn't work.
    I then changed the atomizer and plug again but still says e03.
    On priming it smokes inside... As in a bit of smoke comes out the warm air vents.
    I am pretty sure my external exhaust and air inlet are ok.
    The glow plug kit came with gaskets...
    So, do you reckon I have to do a full strip and replace the gaskets?
    That gunna be blummin awkward if so.

    • @DavidMcLuckie
      @DavidMcLuckie  Год назад +1

      I'd only suggest stripping it for a clean as long as you've got spare replacement gaskets, glow mesh, etc. As if you are using and need to to be working I don't recommend taking it apart and then not being able to have it working again, specially as you mention snow.

    Hello mate you do make me laugh. Have you done a clip yet of the heater burner chamber with the fan end chopped off. Decoke mine after 4 months on lowest setting and once the stainless atomiser was removed I noticed wire down the glow plug hole wrapped around the centre cog looking unit. With fishing bait hook managed to pull lots of stainless steel out of the burn chamber that’s impossible to clean. Yes had endoscope down hole and it’s like a armature in there. Yes tried ultrasonic with cold brake cleaner but way of checking for sure if it’s clean. Found copper grease good for new gaskets with a tiny paint brush as it doesn’t break them every time it’s dismantled. Waiting on new burner before taking the 4 rivets off the fan end and taking off the end cap. Cheers Gary

    • @englishrupe01
      @englishrupe01 2 года назад

      You need the one that comes with the new glow plug, really, because it has that long cut-out so you don't break the wiring.....but if you want to butcher a spare long socket, it is 12mm, but 1/2" would work too, i am pretty sure. The free one's are pretty well made, though.
