    • @Jason38914
      @Jason38914 5 лет назад +5

      @Zach Perry typically its true. A lot of people like their 7s tuned lower because its sounds so good with the longer scale length as opposed to a shorter 6 string scale length.. I have my 7 tuned standard D but with the 7th string A tuned to a G. So technically drop G which is pretty crazy to me and sounds awesome.

    • @Grease-Goblin
      @Grease-Goblin 5 лет назад +3

      Pull-offs were very easy for me to learn. Legatos are also pretty much no trouble at all. I don't think I ever really had to practice either of these, and they're just my natural way of playing. Alt picking is also pretty natural, but doing so at a rapid pace is definitely not something I can do well. I just have awful syncing between my hands at a high enough BPM, and I'll have to start practicing that for real one day.

I can play very fast with my right hand, and have reasonably good coordination between the two, but my left hand just falls behind. It's like my joints just refuse to obey orders. Is that normal, or should i change something up?

      There’s nothing wrong with a solo being easy to play, most of my favorite solos are like three or four notes, in fact if that’s all you know that could be a good thing because you aren’t doing what a bunch of people do and just put a bunch of fancy stuff in their solos instead of writing something that sounds good. Although that’s definitely not a reason to not try new techniques, or to not use them in a solo if you want to.

    Amazing playing! Disagree with some of the order, though. Legato is so much easier than a few of the first ones. I guess it's all relative. Love the sweeps, wish I could play them as cleanly. You inspired me to end my break! Thanks!

    i lowkey think fast alternate picking and fast legato should be switched 🙊

    • @conormc1114
      @conormc1114 5 лет назад +2

      I somewhat agree. For me too legato is (way) easier but it's all a matter of how you learned. Take for example synyster gates. He's stated that he's terrible at legato but really enjoys the style and he's pretty proficient in alt picking because that's what he built up and learned first. If you've learnt one and hardly used the other, it's very unnatural the play the other

      Conor McFarlane take the solo from scream. Holy shit is he fast on that one. I find it very hard to coordinate my hands going that fast. He’s amazing at alternate picking. Beast and the harlot is another one.

    • @Guilherme-ny8cf
      @Guilherme-ny8cf 4 года назад

      i guess not bro, both are hard but in legato you need to keep notes sounding high without picking the majority of them, and that's fucking difficult. just sayn

Wow! that 'everything' section!!! how are you not touring the world playing for the elite in the music industry and making YT vids instead - making YT vids isn't bad but you are not on that level man! you need to think BIG and go for it. I feel it's a mindset thing. You really are world class.
