Nice makeover. Leds can make the room look beautiful but just tapeing them onto the wall is a design sin for me. If you really want to have leds all over your room get an aluminum rail with a diffuser on it and put your leds inside there. Beside covering the rather ugly/mechanic looking stripes it also makes the light spread more softer and you have less those individual dots showing.
