I know that this is a bit older of a series, but I really appreciate you guys doing it. I have a mk6 Tdi Sportwagen, and my goal is to eventually awd swap it, so this is super helpful! ❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍
Have you done it?? I have the same goal! Stage 2 malone tune, Rawtek dpf delete kit, injen intake, dap shifter kit! It’s my first car, owned it for 6 years now and I plan on running it into the ground before I ever sell it
Great work! The new panel looks great. You should keep a measurement and offer it as a one off for someone attempting to do the swap and go that route.
We do, you'll find another video on our channel. "AWD Swap in a weekend" where I do one in my daily. Same pan. ruclips.net/video/gfB5PAq1b2g/видео.html
Does the mk1 tt rear subframe work ? I’m able to get the o2m trans complete with the rear diff/subframe for a good price I’ve seen that it’s supposed to to bolt in just want to confirm before I buy it
Hey, thank for the info, most of my conversion is complete, I'm trying to setup the fuel tank transfer pump on the sending unit. How did you get that to work?
Depends on donor car, and what others mods are required at the time. The swap itself isn't bad... it's getting the right hardware without getting gouged.
I would've cut all those stereo wires a long time ago. Mark 'm and snip. It's a bodge install anyway. Or let the owner come over and make room himself. Working around it is ridiculous.
It comes down to what piece of metal you need to save. Sometimes spot weld.bit is the only answer. But the grinder is easier, quicker, and cheaper, so it's used when possible.

No problem. Good luck.

NICE NOTE ON THE REAR SUBFRAME BOLT LENGTH 🔥
Bead rolling looks on point! Great work Dave!
Thanks was going to do our logo in it, opted to just make it look clean factory like.
@@COMotorsports any updates on the silly rabbit? I haven't seen it since it's last MVOC.
@@chrisclow6885 We'll have something on it this year for sure.

Fab work looks great! Didn't know you were in Canada. Keep up the great work, from Ottawa!!!
Thanks, much appreciated
nice cuts and patches !!
This buds for you sir everyday thank you for your help, awesome job my son and I wanted to try this on his 2012 Jetta 🤔
Thanks, best of luck.
This is the mk5 as well. Perhaps you haven't done a mk4 swap? Or are the details hidden inside one of your mk5 videos?
Hey, thank for the info, most of my conversion is complete, I'm trying to setup the fuel tank transfer pump on the sending unit. How did you get that to work?
All depends on the car the swap came from. Wiring schematics are your friend.
Oh man can't wait for the next episode 👍👍
Awesome work! I wonder how much would this build cost?

Looks good!
Thanks, lots more to do yet.

Looks great! I like the design that you did on the panel. I love the out takes. Check out the DJM Project A59 that I did.
Thanks man, much appreciated. Will do.
I’m looking to do an AWD conversion for my 2003 Jetta tdi would this process be the same or different any tips ?
We've done them on MK4's, not even close. The MK4 is a lot more work.
Awesome video but how did you guys wire the AWD system???
Looked at the wiring diagram for the haldex and wired it in.
@@COMotorsports Erwin???
What year A3 is that awd subframe is that? Would it fit in a 2013 jetta?
As long as it's not MQB platform all the A3s in North America are basically the same when it comes to the AWD versions.
So why do you grind the spot welds instead of drilling them out ?
It comes down to what piece of metal you need to save. Sometimes spot weld.bit is the only answer. But the grinder is easier, quicker, and cheaper, so it's used when possible.
So in theory couldn’t you just delete the spare tire holder?
That's what we did
What year A3 rear diff assembly did you use?
Didn't use A3 for this one.
CO Motorsports but you could? What year vw or audi rear diff assembly can I get for my gti Mk5?
@@greg2189 We used a MK5 R32 complete setup for this vehicle.
I would do that to a golf mk7 GTI 2 door
awesome job, what is the name of the tool at 4:20 ?

Where's part 1 & 2?
They should all be in a playlist.
