Italy Trip 2024 Episode 5 Levanto and Monterosso Al Mare

We head by train using the Roma Termini from Florence to Levanto (located in the Liguria region) again through the countryside. The train ride was around 3 hours long and we did have to switch trains. That was an adventure in itself as we only had 5 minutes to find the correct platform and go down and up the stairs with our luggage along with almost everyone else on the train.
Our bnb was about a 10 minute walk from the train station in Levanto. The “Apartment 20 meters from the Sea” bnb was super nice, clean and spacious. And the hosts communicated well and shared so much information about the town. We chose to stay in Levanto as it had more choices for accommodations and it was just one town over from the Cinque Terre. It turned out to be an excellent idea.
We spent our first full day visiting the first village of Monterosso Al Mare which is the largest of the villages. We had the best meal at Al Pozzo in Monterosso.
Be sure to get your train tickets before you get to town. The lines at the train station can be long.
