Italy Trip 2024 Episode 6 Hiking Levanto to Monterosso al Mare

We hiked from Levanto to Monterosso al Mare. It was a 5.7 mile hike with an elevation gain of 1,385 feet. The trail was in great shape. The first portion was mostly up hill. There was fencing in the sections where there were drop offs so it was a comfortable hike.
I would suggest starting no later than 7 am if you want to beat the crowds. This section does not have a fee attached to it. We used hiking sticks but they are not needed unless you feel more comfortable with one. No bathrooms on the trail.
Be sure to get your train tickets before you get to town. The lines at the train station can be long.

No I felt safe. The trail was in good shape. 😊
