I make a lot of seamless loops for stock music and try to avoid catching the ear too much as the loop becomes too obvious and generally loses its purpose. But they still have to boast a certain quality of their own and you've just given me a dozen ways to do this better. Thank you so much again.

I got really excited about the dropping the vocal an octave and also using the delay on the repeats was awesome. Reversing a beat is always a useful tip. I'm off to catch up on the other clips including the music theory ones I am hanging to see. Anyway as usual, thank you for sharing this information. Yes, the hollow sounding synth is a patch I made in Logic's EFM1 synth. I really like it for those slightly melancholic pads.

Thank you, another great informative and inspiring video. 👍 I noticed that at 4:56 you used - rightly so - the Marquee Tool to create automation. Maybe you already know this, but once you've created the automation, you can hold down 'shift+option' and move horizontally with the mouse to create a fade in/out. This speeds up the process a lot instead of creating four points every time. And one more thing: Why not use the 'reverse' function in the Region Inspector of the duplicated region instead of creating a new audio file? Is there any specific reason for that? Hi Davide. Thanks so much and great tip on the Marquee Tool - not one I knew, which is great! In terms of Reversing, there are two reasons why I create a new Audio file. Firstly, I sometimes find that if I use the Reverse option in the Region Inspector, Logic doesn't always display a file as reversed when I re-open a project at a later date. It will still 'sound' backwards, but the audio file will revert to displaying as 'forwards'. As this is occasionally the case, the second reason is that when this happens, making adjustments to start and end points of reversed regions is much harder if they're being displayed incorrectly. I know it's old-school, but I've always found creating a new, dedicated audio file for reversed regions is a fail-safe.
You don't need to duplicate the audio file to reverse it or stretch it. Using the same file and just duplicating the region and reversing it or stretching it works fine
Thanks so much for your comment. Logic is a little inconsistent on audio file/region processing. With some tasks, you're absolutely right, Region processing is independent of other copied Regions. But in some contexts, processing an Audio Region will process ALL regions which are copies, in which case making a duplicate is advisable. What I always try to do in these videos is to provide advice which will work for everyone. Sometimes that might mean an extra step or two which is might be occasionally unnecessary, but it should mean that for anyone trying out one of these tips, they won't get stuck with an unwanted surprise!
@@jonobuchananmusic I absolutely see that, and for any other audio file processing I would agree, but the most common ear-candy methods of reversing and stretching is always consistent if it's done at the region and not at the file (same goes for other region aspects, like transposing, fades, flex etc.). I've never experienced anything else, and if I ever do, I would send it in as a bug report Anyways, thanks for these videos, always straight to the point and showing Logic's strengths (compared to a lot of other Logic related channels that just blabber on for ages and never getting to it) 🙂
For me the slight imperfections make it so much more interesting, particularly for a track in this genre. But I totally understand if you hear it differently.

The whole vocal is way off. If it's a remix using an accapella then the chords are wrong. I can't understand how you hear it differently.
