- My new bike. The Suzuki SV650 (or SV650N in some markets) is an iconic little sleeper at the budget end of the market. I couldn't resist. Here I share my first thoughts after owning the bike for about a month, having gone on a few rides, including the twisties.

I just got one. First big bike. Same colour and year but Mines the s with a little more fairing and two lights. Torque is SO fun. I do agree with the engine gearing, I've started resting my my first lightly on the rear just to engage the rear brake, It does slow down quick without brakes.
Just on the ride home from buying it it filled me with confidence (good thing?). I overtook my lift to buy it on the way home and touched 80mph without realising 😍
Have one in black from 2005 bought with a few mods such has bar risers, leovince, crash mushrooms, tail tidy, led blinkers...traded a bandit 1200 for this ugly beauty and even though loosing the excelent bandit 1200 power and torq, gained on everythin else. Its fun, light, perfect for short commutes or long jorneys and the engine sound and power delivery is amazing for only 72hp.
You seem like you were on the same journey as me. 👍
Best motorcycle ever made!!
I think there are many many people that would agree with you. 👍
Really love these kinds of videos theyre very useful when im trying to validate my choice😂 Anyways im going to try one out tomorrow its a black 2003 with aftermarket headlight and exhaust and the guy also swapped the front forks on it. He wants 2700$ CAD for it and it has 23 000km. Can't wait to try it out and also sick video man👌😂
Thanks Hauris, let us know how you go, I rode this today and am so glad I got it. 👌Even if the compression lockup is trying to kill me.
But did you see it drive? Stop
@@VroomBroomZoom sup man, 2 years later and I’m now selling the 2017 ktm 390 duke that I ended up buying to get a new car. I hope I can get back into motorcycling soon.
Hope you’re still doing well
Think I'm buying this bike tomorrow.. Found one in Cali, 2003 w/ only 10,000 miles on it, PERFECT condition and maintenance records. He wants $2500 US, hoping to get it for $2000. Would be my first street bike purchase, ever.. Gut instinct is telling me to do it..
Do it. 😆😆😆
Did you purchase it? How did/do you like it.
@@briarrose3155 Hey ! I didn't end up buying the 2003 SV that I found, but I did wind up buying a 2020 SV 650 ! The used one that I found, I almost did it but...something about getting my first street bike, I just wanted it to be new. SO I rode the SV for 3years, absolutely LOVED it, had no issues with it ever, it ran VERY well and always started up no problem. It taught me a LOT as well, and I think it's the perfect "first" bike for someone. A seasoned rider can also get on it and love it also. It's like the jack of all trades, like a swiss army knife of bikes. Very thorough.
Ive got a yellow 2003 naked. Ive got a small puig windscreen over the front top. Ive already got 25k km on it. Never let me down.
Love yellow 😊
The SV was a bargain maybe. At least in the naked version. Here you won't get a cheap one. I own exactly the same as you do. It has an YSS shock and an the fork is optimized as well. Love it and i think it is more fun than a gixxer on curvey , if not everywhere execpt ractrack.
Hi, got the same bike and i do not agree with you about the stock mirrors and the stock head light, for me it's definitely what i love the most on my SV650 that old school touch fit perfectly the rest of the bike in my opinion. By the way, nice to see this bike in Brisbane, i'm from France stayed 8 months in Brisbane never saw so many motorbike especially suzuki sv650. Cheers 😉✌️
Love the round headlight styling, but do not like their performance. The mirrors.....yep, agree to disagree 👌👌👌🙂
@@VroomBroomZoom yeah right the bad performance of the head light is definitely annoying, i agree.
love the bike, i have the blue with black frame with mods, black widow can, led lights, bar end mirrors, tail tidy, black Renthal wide bars and black belly panel. the colour is grand candy blue (code YC2)
A tip: you can watch series at Flixzone. Been using it for watching lots of of movies lately.
@Kingsley Jamal Yea, been using flixzone for since december myself :D
I looked this bike up because someone here in US is selling one like your for $2850 with 16k miles in very nice condition.
What do you think of the price.?
If it’s low mileage, some are selling for similar here.
there is an sv400 but i think it doesnt sell at europe and america :( thought i would upgrade from my old suzuki gs500e 94 to a suzuki sv400 injected older look type thought with the round frame would be awesome. but i didnt found one yet. only on youtube in russia or so :(
No 400 in Australia either
@@VroomBroomZoom yea too bad. Maybe perfect motorbike for everyday riding..cheap good fuels usage etc :(
Owned a SV400 naked last year, it really halled ass, best commuter bike I've owned, gearbox was super smooth, the curvy came out with carbs only, but not a days trouble, had a yossi exhaust on and sounded exactly like a 650, I'm from Johannesburg South Africa, I traded it in for a 07 V-Strom which is great, but I miss the cheekiness of the sv400
Do you still have it?
Nope.
@@VroomBroomZoom oh no! How come!
I’ve just bought one, fully faired though. Amazing bike!
I wanted the fairing one but couldn't get one at the time. Tenpted if I see abargain and all of a sudden I have magical garage space.
@@VroomBroomZoom that’s it haha. I never have any space for another car but as soon as a bargain come up. My driveway magically has a space.
I’ve got about 10 cars on the driveway at this point, and another car in the garage with the 2 motorbikes.
I have a problem, but am loving it haha.
Denial is amazing. :P
Dont let a woman on the back of your bike, its bad luck
