Thanks. I bought the plant raising panel which I put on top of the table. it is already about 10 years old.

Where did you buy your heating base from ,I ask because I've seen the mat type for sale at Bunnings, your one doesn't look like a mat or is it . Also I don't know if this would work hence I ask the master .what if I was to use a pb3/4 bag filled with the potting medium you used but added on the top seed raising mix enough for seedlings to grow and push threw , my thinking ,and tell me if I'm wrong , I would not need to prick seedlings out to put into potting mix because it's already been added, and the roots should hit that potting mix as they get older, and therefore the roots wouldn't be disturbed until you plant out in your garden after frosts . Your wisdom on my crazy idea would be grateful

Hi George, I purchased the plant raising panel online from: www.hunkin.co.nz/panels.html. No, yours is not a crazy idea at all. I would do that if I germinate just a few seeds (say 10) but not when I want to raise 100+ seedlings. Cheers!
