The medium income in Island, Denmark and Norway is very high while in Sweden and Finland it's much lower.
Swedish used to be richer than finnish except in best Nokia days when finnish we're richer. Now the medium income in Finland and Sweden is about same.
Finland is not doing great and Sweden is not doing any better.

    Sweden.
My UK bank gives me over 5% interest on my savings.
Swedish banks best I can get is just over 3%.
Inflation is not 2% as ICA is price gouging anyone living in sweden.

Skandia actually has it at 3,65% for a regular savings account and SBAB is at 3,75% if we are looking at the bigger banks. The UK central bank interest rate is 1,25% higher than what the Swedish one is, so that you see 1%+ difference in deposit interests is hardly surprising.

Meanwhile in the real world Sweden has the lowest growth rate in EU. Private lending has tanked and that shows that there is no underlaying growth in Sweden. They are dreaming of negative interest rates again so people can lend more on their house rather than be productive.
