Excellent video. Thank you! I’ve seen various methods of miking the kit and I like the simplicity of how you put the mic underneath to capture the whole kit. Also I like how you mic the percussion and also the snare. I’m a sound guy as well as a former drummer as well as guitar as my first instrument. Farmer is sending me the 12 pedal this week, I’m super excited to rock this. Lately I’ve been playing a foot drum called a bass box and it’s fun but I want the whole kit! And funny I have that same throne. I like to sit high too. Cannot wait!!
I love my Farmer Footdrum ! The throne I'm using in the video is more specifically called { The Roc-N-Soc Manual Spindle Tall Throne } and the base adjusts from 22"-29" in height, I use it at its maximum height and its just right for me. The manual version of the Throne Base can be harder to locate but I got mine from Vic's Drum Shop in Chicago.
