Ill also add, i just bought mine 2 months ago and jb has already changed the design. The magnet on my psycrometers is on the body of the tool, yours is on the flexible neck and looks identical to the fp magnets. I dont understand these changes on a brand new product, and not being able to buy the pressure probes anywhere.

Looks like a mixture of the refco and uei probes and features. I feel like they missed the boat with the non angled pressure probe connections and like the old testos that didn’t fit on a lot of equipment

With the display the angle is not ideal. A straight probe can be rotated. If you put it on a core depressor tool, you have a swing joint and it’ll fit on anything.

@@measureQuick are you guys going to support the new appion wireless system? The rht100 and ptc900 I believe are the part numbers

I have the jb pipe clamps and psycrometers but cant find the pressure probes, so i dont use any of it and want to sell them now. Ill stick with my fp job link stuff, i wanted these because of the display. Sometimes its too much of a pain to sync up to mq and i just want to see whats going on quckly with no apps. Now appion has probes with displays so i may be going that route

I’m waiting on my appion probes to come in. I have the psychrometers already.

@hvacslayer2929 how do you like the air probes? I have them all in my cart rite now at tru tech. Using my fp job links for now but I really want to get away from apps unless necessary

@@HVACRTECH-83 they are accurate and only take few mins to finally settle on temp.
Only downside is no magnet for placing . I added magnets on mine. Like you mentioned can just look at the screen instead of using the app. Haven’t really seen how laggy the app info has been, but I had the older appion Ion pressure gauges on the older app they were pretty good on connection sending info until every now and then the app would randomly crash lol you have to close out and reopen it.

@hvacslayer2929 ya I noticed no magnets and kinda worried about how short the gooseneck is on them, otherwise they seem perfect. Cause you wanna leave them in duct and monitor for a while, don't want them falling out and don't wanna hold them in there either. Can't believe they would make such a great product but not put magnets and extend the neck a bit like the fp and jb probes

There ok at best. The range is not there and the temp probes get tore up from the sheet metal hole u make in the plenum.

The range is very comparable with Fieldpiece. We’ve been testing them for a few months. Make your hole in the plum slightly bigger and it probably won’t get tore up. I haven’t had that problem. We primarily put them in supplier register and at the return.

@@measureQuick I bought them when they first came out. @measurequick said in hvac school podcast how great they were and worked with @measurequick. Well they did not. So now well over a year later i guess they do? The battery life sucks, they get scraoed up from the sheet metal! Inlesz u pull them straight out, even then tbey get caught. The rubber coating vs sheet netal is not ideal. The tips that open and close fall off. The magnet is horrible. I guess now they come with two magnets, but they didn’t when I bought mine. The range is not the same as the @fieldpiece, at least mine aren’t. I’ve done a bunch of firmware updates. Still not great range. JB couldn’t even get them to hook up to their app for like two months after I bought them. $400 for two probes?? I wanted to like them but there just not great at all. @Fieldpiece probes are better in every way and they are only like 220 bucks for two of the temp probes. Been using @measurequick since 2018. Normally Jims recommendations are good. No one can batt 100%.

I bought these while back! Not impressed! Battery life is bad. Mine came with one magnet that is not very strong. @measurequick must be getting paid a lot to push these! Better options out there for cheaper! $400 is nuts for these two temperature probes.
