  • On a breezy winter day in February of 2002, in southern Alberta, a rancher was moving some cattle along a rural road when he came across a disturbing sight in the ditch.
He got off his horse to take a closer look and confirmed it was a body. An hour north - the family and friends of Adrienne McColl had no idea the heartbreaking news they were about to get- and the long road to justice they were about to embark on.

I just woke up listening to this. Everyone from BC, sounds like they’re indigenous. Seriously.
There’s nothing wrong with that; I’m not here to debate. I’ve lived in Vancouver all of my life. Every person from van and probably out toward Chilliwack. Everyone has the indigenous affect to their voice. I grew up in Richmond and went to school in Vancouver. Then four years in Leeds, and back to Richmond. Don’t worry. My entire twenties were in Vancouver on Granville

He helped the woman who made the film and she used all his information without even giving him credit, but he didn't care about that. She said all You Tubers do it for money. Nope that isn't true. I follow very few I watch a lot of crime but only when they finally put the arses away. I am an old punk rocker widowed for four years and have been to 14 funerals in ten years. So I know tragedy. I could never ever think of hurting or taking someone's life. I think it's an egotistical person who knows they can gain their innocent victims trust, then murder them. Evil people. 2002- Alberta - A body was found on a desolate gravel area the victim was identified as 21 year old Adrianne McCall. Police intervened John McGee the step father of the victim and her employer. Police worked tirelessly to catch the killer of Adrianne McCall who was found strangled and murdered and the police also wanted to questioned her boyfriend Stephanne Payrant but he had left Calgary and the case went cold for many years. In 2013 that is eleven years since the murder police took a fresh look at the murder and police still had not been able to interview Stephanne Parent. Now 16 years had passed since Adrianne’s murder. THE MOST INTERESTING THING ABOUT THIS CASE IS THE MAIN PRIME SUSPECT WAS NOT QUESTIONED BY THE POLICE FOR MORE THAN ELEVEN YEARS ? The father of the victim was also an employee of the RMCP and yet the suspect escaped justice for 16 years.

Well in our son’s, Craig’s, murder there was sufficient evidence beyond a reasonable doubt for second degree murder but the prosecution botched it royally that it went to manslaughter. Manslaughter, Craig was butchered by the murderer using 3 knives (10 inch) breaking 2 blades off in his back and the 3rd in his abdomen, bent like a banana. Such a miscarriage of Justice. Quality and respect for the victims is more important than quantity. Good journalism takes time and investigative resources are limited these days.

He, the murderer onky got 17 years after evading justice for so long. A calculated dangerous evil monster who probably beat her and caused a still birth also something we will NEVER KNOW but, her depression and tears were probably a cry for help trying to understand how she took up with a monster, a bum, a lazy selfish git, a user, an abuser and a cold blooded killer. Hope he suffers. Hope he NEVER sees the light of day ever again.

i don't understand why a murderer should be allowed to live there life as if nothing has happened after ending some one elses the road to justice should never be long when someone has been murdered......

Above all the strength and composure of the father and best friend is incredible. Moreover they still look and sound young. The toll on the two siblings, her brother and his sister was equally incredible. Evil touches people differently it seems.

What parents would let their young daughter moved in with a stepfather after the mother is no longer in a relationship with him. People need to provide housing for their own kids, it’s mind blowing how many young people don’t have a safe place to call home

    • @dallynutkat3252

I understand that in many cases this is an issue and you are obviously a caring person which is why this upset you. However, she was 21 and chose to go live with her stepfather. Perhaps she couldn't afford to live alone. Perhaps her mother was in another relationship and Adrienne didn't like the guy. Perhaps her stepdad was as close as a father to her so would naturally help her out when she needed a place to stay, especially when her father was posted overseas. Perhaps the end of the stepfather and mother's relationship was amicable and it was a relief to the mother that her daughter had a safe place to stay with someone who loved her. Her mother may have had her own issues and couldn't support her as she needed. Besides, her mother couldn't stop her from living there as she was an adult. All I'm saying is we don't really know so let's not be too quick to judge. It's good that you care so much though. I just think sometimes when we watch true crime we paint everyone with the same brush, which is understandable as we see certain patterns happening time and again. I'm just glad she was so loved in her short life and am sad she's gone as I think she would have made a difference in this world. Anyway, that's just my 5 cents worth as a Canadian who wishes these things didn't happen and who wishes our justice system was a lot better.

what does that have to do with anything involving this case??? he obviously cared for her deeply and considered her a daughter regardless of the marriage ending. It’s a shame he passed away before being able to see justice for her death. RIP TO THEM BOTH🙏🏾
