    Dear Hilary,
what a great start to a new day ... with the sounds of my favorite instrument! 🪕❤
Thank you for your playing ... and the different speed variations 👍 ... they make me dream that it "is really easy to be able to play this beautiful instrument myself" at some point, DESPITE my (barely) 63 years (only in my passport, in my heart and in my mind I am MUCH younger😄)!
For you: Please keep it up 🪕 - so that your playing can accompany me MANY more starts into a new day!
Warmly greetings from Germany 🇩🇪 👋❤

Great lesson Hilary. New to Clawhammer banjo. This slow speed was so helpful.

Really nice as always Hilary. Where are you now and are you still teaching in person? People keep asking me and I know that the Jalopy is in trouble--or so I'm told....Jack

    Thanks Hilary
Explain the absence of frets higher up the neck? I'm a beginner. Uk Steve

The fretboard is scooped out at the top for more comfortable playing by the right hand in that position. You’ll play there if you want to avoid any sounds from your hand hitting the drum skin
