I'm not Indian, but been in India close to 6-7 times, few as a kid & then from West where I'm livin many decades but lived in SL as a kid a few yrs I've been to 8-9 nations in Asia, then 8-9 in Europe, Aus & all 3 in N.Am etc. Philpn& Thai got some slums + SL all these 3 has few parts of their Big cities bit bad or close to/ similar to some of Indias big city not good areas. I only been to Bombay once, 2 visit to Bangalore & Mysore, but more visits to Chennai & T.Nadu & its many Temple towns with parents etc as kid+ later, but India wins the crown for over crowded, less big roads/ highways, no side-walks, less pub toilets, dirt , slums etc but also seen some clean good small towns, many good clean giant temples few good beaches, etc in India, i haven't been to most other parts but seen vlogs & there are good places like Himachal, Simla, Arunachal, Goa, Jaipur, Chandigarh,.. + then few 5000-8000 yrs old Archeo sites etc places to see in India for me.
Not a single city in SL has even half mil population only Colombo has ~800k but greater Colombo 1.5+ mil, while Ind has few big cities with same or near same size as SL's tot population(~20mil), though, also it's proper to calculate population per 1 square km( mile) & China, US, Rus, Cda, Bras, Aus, SA.. all are bigger or almost same size as India & have much smaller population too.

Everything starts with King Ashoka or Buddha. Had to ask a knowledgeable guide to take me to the significant Ramayana places. SL does not know how to make money from their ancient heritage due to chauvinism. That is why you will be disappointed.

Mesmeric and extremely touching! I have flown Sri Lankan Airlines and really loved the experience. The flight attendants are very beautiful in their sarees and the food was amazing. I could enjoy a complimentary buffet while on transit at Colombo. I wish the Ramayana trail great success!

Mesmeric and extremely touching! I have flown Sri Lankan Airlines and really loved the experience. The flight attendants are very beautiful in their sarees and the food was amazing. I could enjoy a complimentary buffet while on transit at Colombo.
