I recently went through the same thing with my late uncle Bill Elton. Found out he played trombone with Miles Davis and is on a youtube video. Blew my mind, it was 1959, and I was 2 years old.
~ I made my own custom band shirts in '85... I made a white one with the pink origami logo on the front, and some of the lyrics (mentioning "hell") on the back. It wasn't welcomed in youth group :)
Holy crap! I bet most folks are thinking I don't hear Jesus' name? lol This is forkn awesome, destroying the saccharine silliness of contemporary Christian music, and in 1983!
+BadSneakers The 77's are ,one of a few bands , That Can or DO SHATTER THE "Fake" music scene (especially about Jesus and God's Truth to Mankind ) . ..Yes and They Always HAVE Been That Way. , I keep sharing to my friends on FB , but i am "unaware of any "new listeners of the 77's" .
The most underrated band of all time.
Mark Tootle is my uncle, the redhead on rhythm guitar! Never knew there was video of him playing live with these guys, awesome tune!

Your uncle is a legend in some circles... and there is a TON of footage of him playing with the sevens.
Your uncle is a great songwriter too!
I'm sorry but after listening to this all the way through this I'm afraid I'm just going to have to play it again.
and again

Hahaha indeed!
I was there and this was utterly brilliant!
cathartic!
Brings back sweet memories! I was there, young and hungry for rock´n roll, and thank God he blessed us with real rock´n roll. AMEN!!!
Remember this as being utterly brilliant at the time!!
Michael Roe. And the songs just keep on coming!
Now THIS is some classic footage... Even pre-Aaron "The A-Train" Smith... Amazing!

/ Biten
This was my first Greenbelt.
Still got the signed album.
A little rushed compared to the studio version, but who hasn't done that? Excellence. The 77s are one of the greatest rock groups ever.
Proof that time travel is possible HERE
I love this tune, all the cool riffage. Would love to hear more stuff like this from the band. Other favorite tune is What Was in That Letter?
This is totally awesome!!
THE most authentic band to ever come out of the Christian marketplace. The core group put out some great music over the years.

Do you have any more songs from this concert?
Could have been famous with a better producer and promoter.
Are these the same guys that did "Baa baa baa baa" and "Caught in an unguarded moment"? Those 2 were great, this was just hideous.
Yes, it’s the same band!
