    I applied it to my offroad nobby tires today and it went on so easy. Best consistency not too liquidity nor a full lotion but not a cheap gel either. Thinner than resin based products as well. I’m not too concerned about longevity as long as I get a week or two for my conditions. Just remember the longer durability the harder it is to remove ir linger to clean.

    darkside is my favorite, last time i used it i deep deep cleaned my tires and after the wash applied the darkside, let it sit for 20 mins then leveled it with a microfiber towel. after driving around, tire sling EVERYWHERE!!! it was the first time that ever happened and i was dumbfounded, after some thought i figured out that after cleaning the wheels and tires, i used quick beads on the rims. during the quick beads rinse process of course it got all over the tires, and boom, the quick beads hindered the darkside from adhering to the tires properly. even after the following wash i could see where the dressing stuck on the tires and where it was gone and ended up on the doors and fenders! have you ever had this happen?

    I used their ZR53 ceramic coating a year ago on one my customers’ motorcycle. It’s great and still in great shape. The slickness is unbelievable. I also tried their compound, it was a bit too watery for what I’m used to and didn’t do a very good job. But again, ZR53 is a brilliant product.

    Yes, Great products Pan! I used the ZR53 on my new truck back in April and it was a Wow after I finished! The humidity was at 65%/75*F and the ZR53 started sweating right away so I made sure to apply 2’x2’ sections during application. My first application of 3’x3’ was scary but I was able to hit the high spots off after extra polishing. 15-20 seconds max, then get it leveled! The vehicle color seems to enhance over time, to this day! Great Content Pan!🙏

    What are your thoughts on Yvans claim of only one round of cleaning of tires and whatever browning is left to leave there?

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  5 месяцев назад

      I'm not at all with that school of thought on that one. In 27 years of detailing, I have yet to see tires having issues or rotting because of them being cleaned. As long as you use a quality tire cleaner and use it according to the instructions, there should be no problems.
      Yvan uses an APC, which can sometimes be different in formulation compared to an actual tire cleaner, so I can't speak to his use case scenario.
      And tires themselves don't last the lifetime of a vehicle. At one point, you have to buy new tires anyways if you're someone that keeps his cars for 6-7 years. The rubber itself will start to naturally deteriorate over time. According to Bridgestone, a reputable tire manufacturer, on average, people drive between 12,000 to 15,000 miles a year, which means the average good quality all-season tire will last somewhere between three and five years, depending on maintenance, driving style and conditions, etc.
      So again, I haven't seen any actual proof or evidence that thoroughly cleaning the tires until the foam is white, and then applying a quality tire dressing to protect the tires against oxidation and UV rays, does anything to harm the tires.
      I wash my car twice weekly, and have pretty much always owned super expensive vehicles, and have yet to see any signs of damage on the tires from them being cleaned. ;)
      At the end of the day, you do you. Pick a method that works for you, and use common sense, and you'll be fine.

    Is it possible to put snow foam pure in the foam cannon and dilute it with the wheel of the foam cannon? I always see people who mix their snow foam with water but when I dilute Koch Chemie GSF with water in my foam cannon, the foam is very watery.

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  5 месяцев назад +1

      I always recommend following the dilution instructions of the product you are using. Also, not all products foam the same, some are thicker, some are more watery. And there are many variables to get thicker foam.
      There are many factors that influence the quantity, thickness and richness of snow foam:
      1. Type of foam cannon (smaller orifices lead to thicker foam, but can potentially trip your circuit breaker depending on your setup)
      2. Type of pressure washer (a higher amount of GPM water output leads to more foam, so a pressure washer with 1.3 GPM will produce less foam than one that pumps out 2.1 GPM)
      3. Type of snow foam (not all snow foams produce the same amount of foam)
      4. Dilution ratio of snow foam (adjust the dilution according to your setup. Start with the recommendations on the label, and increase the amount as needed).
      5. Water quality. The better the water, the more foam and suds you get. So deionized water will always produce more foam compared to hard tap water, for example.

Thanks

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  5 месяцев назад +1

      This isn't a simple answer unfortunately, due to the specific products you are using. The Autoglym Super Resin is a polish that contains fillers (silicones) and a bit of protection in the form of a wax. So you're limited with what you can apply on top. For example, you shouldn't apply any ceramic type protection on top of that. Autoglym states you can apply their High Definition Wax or Extra Gloss Protection afterwards.
      If you want to apply some other higher quality and longer lasting protection, like a ceramic spray sealant or a true multi-year ceramic coating (in glass bottles), you'd have to machine polish the old protection off first. So you would wash the car, use an iron remover to remove brake dust and iron particles, then clay the surface to remove other embedded contaminants, machine polish the paint to ensure 100% removal of any previous protection, then use a panel prep spray to remove polishing oils, and then apply your new protection.
      See how I would prep a vehicle and apply a ceramic coating in this tutorial: ruclips.net/video/sqQYVjxFqK0/видео.html

    Great video Pan. Seems like a strong schampoo. I have a ceramic coated car, Gyeon Infinite type 2, and wash my car weekly. I use Bilthamber touchless as prewash with foamcannon, and Carpro reset for contact wash. Would you recommend any altering for the weekly wash? I live in Stockholm Sweden, so quite big difference regarding conditions from summer to winter. Great videos.

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  5 месяцев назад

      I wouldn't use Bilt Hamber Touch-Less on a weekly basis. If you have a coated car, stick to using pH neutral snow foams and soaps. It will preserve the coating for longer. You would use the higher pH snow foams and acidic soaps once in a while for a deep clean, to remove road film and mineral deposits, water spots, etc.
      Here's a video with my favourite car soaps that can also be used for weekly pre-wash as snow foams: ruclips.net/video/TCQXfXECr5Q/видео.htmlsi=9eiHi4iMY8lryXTz

    Curious which topper you used that masked the coating?

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  5 месяцев назад +1

      Any topper that you apply will in theory modify the hydrophobics. Some toppers just give worse hydrophobics.
      If a coating is starting to fail, and you spray a topper on top, the hydrophobic properties will seem restored, when in reality, underneath, the coating is still failing. That’s what I meant here. A decon soap will likely remove the weaker topper and reveal the state of the coating underneath. Which is what was evident here.

      PFAS are known as forever chemicals that aren’t easily eliminated in nature and tend to accumulate, potentially also causing health concerns and can also lead to cancers.
      More and more you will see country regulations getting tighter and tighter around the use of forever chemicals.

    Hi Pan, thank's for your video once again!
    What can you tell about ceramic coating a car without polising it ? is it that bad ?
    greetings from Portugal!

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  5 месяцев назад

      This is not a simple yes or no answer unfortunately. In theory, you don’t have to polish your paint before applying a ceramic coating. But if you want to get the maximum performance and durability out of your coating, the more time you spend prepping your paint, the better. Don't forget that coatings need to bond to a virgin clear coat.
      So ideally, you would wash the car using a stripping shampoo, then use an iron remover, then clay the surface. The paint will be clean and free of contamination.
      At this point, you have the option to polish the paint. Polishing (also known as paint correction) will remove imperfections (swirls, scratches and oxidation) all while greatly increasing the gloss and clarity of your paint.
      Furthermore, polishing ensures 100% removal of any previous protection that might be on your paint, like a wax or sealant. Only machine polishing will ensure 100% removal of any previous protection. And it's important that for the coating to bond, there isn't any wax or old sealant on the surface.
      If you don't feel the need to polish, I would still recommend use an isopropyl alcohol based paint prep spray, which will remove any left over oils and residue, and again, promote a better bond of any ceramic coating you decide to apply.
      To put all these steps into perspective, watch my popular tutorial on how to properly apply a ceramic coating: ruclips.net/video/sqQYVjxFqK0/видео.html

    Im in Ontario Canada and looking at building a new house and wondering what the drain setup and drywall makeup is. Ventilation?? Heating setup?? Is it waterproof drywall like found in shower set ups? Special paint?
    How often do you clean your floor drian out? Im assuming its plumbed to the city sewer system.

      Yeah I was kind of disappointed that it didn’t even make the three year mark without being affected. It’s been like 2 years 10 months at this point and seeing it start to fail in the lower parts of the vehicle is a bummer. There’s no way this coating can last for 9 years let alone 5.
      As it sits, it’s now probably 80% of the original performance. I expected better.
      So I will be polishing the entire car soon and adding a new higher quality coating for sure.
