4449's mars light was a twin-beam until this spring, when the crew restored the as-delivered single-beam light. It was still a twin-beam at Holiday Express in December; at Union Station for National Train Day in May it'd been changed. It takes a little getting used to, but I like it.
Great Video! I waited at Skamania for 4449 & caught the departure from Wishram. Might have got there in time for the arrival if not for those trucks! I caught up to them at Stevenson & was behind the dump truck until it turned. The other wasn't bad, going 60 for a while, but the tunnels freaked him & he slowed way down for each & I passed him. Was briefly ahead of 4449 west of Wishram & saw everybody with camera out, but in the time it took to get down into Wishram 4449 beat me to the station.
nice vid! great shots, editing, everything! 5:56 i think we might have been in the same chase line, we were probably about 3 or 4 cars down from you. haha i think we all got stuck behind that dump truck.
I'll be shooting the 4449 (among the other 7 steamers) at one of the TrainFestival night photo sessions and definitely should be authentic if they installed a single bulb mars light. I agree, I'll need to get used to it but still looks good!
I saw the Ram pulled over and wondered if it was a railfan. I think the white S10 passed the lead truck (by then the only truck) when it was going 60. More daring than I am.
LOL yes you did encounter me, well actually, I said Hi and you didn't notice me, so... i guess, but with so many people there, I bet everyone encountered everyone at one point
Excellent video! Makes me want to buy an HD camera even more now... Thanks for posting!
This is a well thought out and shot video. Kudos and thanks for posting it. We saw here here in Spokane/Coeur d'Alene, Idaho
Fantastic footage. I loved the chase shots. I wanted more! :-) Got to experience what happened after it left Union Station.
Excellent Video! I wish i had such a beautiful steamer as that out here in PA!

Wow. Simply wow. Awesome work dude.
Haha All right! Gigidy. Great video! Wish I could have gotten down there to see it.

Chasing it was a challenge. I only had a few minutes to spare for my 3rd shot. Great stuff!!!
That's a heart pounder!
Very pretty lady. Thank you!
I love the Music! Great video!

I like your style. Noticing the police were very evident during the initial minutes of the video.
Very good video, a great chase!

You know I was wondering who was taking footage of the back of my head at Maryhill... Sorry to get in the shot, I usually try to get out of the way.

Awsome What Kind Of Camera Did You Use For This Video Great Quality!
Ya, i was taking to one of my friends in the crew car and they said they saw that Dodge Ram get pulled over atleast once

These metal monsters have a soul,
some bigger, some smaller.
At all, all they have it.
Great work, check your title, though. It's "Maryhill"
@jimkoenig400 Wow, thats the same comment I left about your youtube channel!
Ya, that was some trip! god I hate those pacing lines though.
Leave it to the cops to screw up a good distance segment by kicking up dust driving.

BNSF Special Agents chase them all the way to Michigan, do you know?
Foamers like the guy in the Ram you speak of ruin it for everybody else. Those people give other train enthusiasts a bad name.
