Brilliant! I know this is an old video, but I am about to completely overhaul my craft room and knew I could search your videos and find really great organizational systems.

Thanks for the update Jennifer, I've converted all my friends to your system. I've taken to laminating the white card insert and then using the back of the laminated card for the stamps to cling to.

I have spent more time organizing my stamps but thanks to you this is the last time. Love this. I have switched the white card stock and color coded so that I can not only made it easier to find what I am looking for but super easy to put away. Thank you for your great videos

Thank you, thank you, for doing the video on the larger and smaller stamps. I have finally gotten all of my cling and clear stamps into the Avery Elle pockets. I did this over a weekend. I wasn't aware that you had put your label on the outside of the pocket. I put mine on the white card-stock inside the envelope. But for the larger stamps you would have to put the label outside and that would still work for me. I don't have that many large stamps either. Thanks Jennifer for such a great video.

The Avery envelopes are quite expensive (25 for $8.99) as are the Fridz trays. What I did was buy 5"x8" 2mil zipbags on Amazon (500 for $14) selling 200 on them on Craigslist. For the cling stamps, I cut transparencies to fit to keep the bags rigid. I used cardstock for the clear stamps so I could put 2 to a bag. I found sturdy 5-3/4" x 15" rigid wood baskets at a junk store for $3 ea. Not as elegant but functional at a fraction of the cost. Another .option I'm considering is using metal shower curtain "hooks" from the Dollar Tree (12 for $1/$6-$15 elsewhere) and grouping "themed" stamps together to hang from a towel rack/pvc pipe/ikea wire.

This is why it's great to share! I have been converting my larger sets to acetate to store in the AE pockets, stamping the set on the front of the acetate with StazOn; but the images haven't been very readable sometimes. Love the idea of stamping on the paper storage sheet. I'm going to convert those, TFS!

I just trimmed down the original sheet that the larger sets come on. You can also find a straight line and cut apart. They will fit into the clear evelope. May not be on whole sheet but since I pull the whole evelope this works for me.

I know this is an older video, but I hope you still see this QUESTION & will give me some guidance. When you have a stamp set (or stamp & die) has has been a collaborative between two companies (SSS & AE, as an example), HOW do you 1) LABEL IT & 2) With WHICH COMPANY do you store it, since you store by company/manufacturer??? I'm new, but i seem to have A LOT of things that I've been collecting the last 6-8 month's so it's a little overwhelming trying to organize every set. But I want to make sure I remember what I have. I've already found where I purchased multiples of item bc I didn't have them stored or listed in any kind of online system. Thank you!!!

OH MY GOSH!!! Im so happy now. Just yesterday I sent you a comment about storing stamps that no longer have transfer sheets. (because when I started storing my stamps, I was an idiot and threw them away for whatever reason). Anyway, its as if you did this video just for me. I didn't realize that the stamps would stick to the pocket material. I am so happy, I could just dance all over my living room. Of course my dogs would think I had lost my mind!!! Thank you Jennifer, you are so awesome. I watch all your videos and I have learned so much from you. Now the other thing....could I borrow your son to help with all the labeling???? You said in one of your videos on storing inks, that you got him to do all the labels. LOL!!! I need a kid to come do that for me. Actually, maybe I could hire a kid to set up my stamp storage and I wouldn't have to do it all. I could just walk into my craft room and be so happy with how it looks and of course, I could take all the credit, no one would know!!! LOL. Again, thank you! You are the best!!!!

for sets that are too long, I'll use a pair of scissors to cut them in half if possible and stick them into two pockets, and label them Stamp Set A & Stamp Set B. I cut the transfer sheets in half so I'll have the images with the stamps.

Awesome, as always. Do you store cling and unmounted rubber the same as your clear stamps? What stamps on wood blocks? Thanks for sharing your insights.

I just cut the stamp packaging in half and put each half on the front and back and then into the Avery Elle pocket.

So funny, I had already done both of the things you mentioned. When I have to take a stamp off it's original sheet, I always use the white sheet and stamp the images on it so I know what is in there. I have also used the larger clear envelopes (got mine at Staples) for things like my Prima Doll Stamps. I have enough of the larger ones that I have one Fridgz Binz full of larger and the rest are in another bin and are the Avery Elle pockets. Thanks for the suggestions. Could you please explain how you store things like Tim Holtz or Dyan Reevely cling stamps? Thanks!

I've read the previous comments regarding cling RUBBER stamps and your replies indicate you use the same method as you do for your photopolymer stamp sets. Could you please show a picture of a rubber stamp set, so that I can understand by seeing? Thanks!

You know the hard plastics from all your sizzix, spellbinder and embossing folder packages. Those cut down also make a slightly sturdier stamp sets instead of the flimsy acetate. I also posted a link to this video on the Frugal Crafters youtube on storage boxes. She mentioned you that she got most of her ideas on storing stamps from you, so I thought it would be alright for me to link you there.

I cut around the stamps. Usually if you cut in the middle of the sheet and turn them 90 degrees, it fits.

so what happens if the stamp set comes in a dvd case? do you take them out of the case? I need to do something and I like that all yours look the "same" and take up even less space than the dvd cases.

How would you suggest storing cling & rubber stamps, that are not from sets? I've been collecting rubber stamps for over 25 years. I have say 50 birthday stamps, anniversary stamps, etc. that I've been keeping them on those 8 1/2 X 11 white plastic sheets. all in separate file folders. They take up so much room. Help!

So do you have a system to keep track of what stamps or sentiments you have? I've been thinking that I need to make some kind of binder that has all the sentiments and mark who's stamp it is so I can find it easier. I do not have as much as you do but already I'm not sure what I do have. So do you keep any type of record of that. Thanks

great solution, why now use those office depot pockets to make these sheets as you don;t like them as much, seems a waste to ruin a prefectly good avery elle pocket, but hey me practical ;-)

I made my own pockets using large laminate sheets that I already had with this method (ruclips.net/video/wveJhSiusvs/видео.htmlsi=005m5CzaTJSPm9Uc), only bigger because I have some sets that are about 6x8 1/2 so I did my packets 6 1/2x9 to have a little wiggle room. It has worked wonders! And they are quite sturdy!!! Super impressed with myself to be honest lol. I also added a cardstock sheet inside as you suggested so I'm so thankful for that advice! But I'm also thankful for the rest of the information and dimensions as I'm new to card making. I also plan on getting the label maker you suggested and doing labels too! Your videos have been a Godsend! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

I make the inner sheets 6 1/4x9 (I trim them down so it can connect the pocket together.) Also, this is my favorite video of organization along with the background stamps storage video. They are both so helpful!
