I need to weigh in on the subject. I don’t think it is simply a misinterpretation. People who go out of their way to make these false predictions and do so repeatedly are doing so deliberately. They are fully aware of the fact that they are lying and don’t care. Unfortunately they are able to fool people with lies that are so easy to debunk with just 5 minutes of research.

Seems like life is hell in SK, what with the long working hours, hyper competitivity, oppressive social culture and corporate control; then you're more prone to believe, nay hope for doomsday. Thank you for you for your videos, it shows how a threatened, and at some definition naive culture reacts to modernity (naive in the sense that Europeans have had the opportunity for disbelief to discard, in due time, the obsolete cultural and religious traditions)

How is religion different from a cult other than the fact that it's got a lot of followers and hence more acceptable?
As a Christian, I am going to say that nobody knows the Time when the Lord Jesus is coming. No one knows. All I know, not all Christians will be raptured. Christ only has one goal that is to crush the great human image and terminate the entire human government. Christ as the Stone cut out with without hands, will become a great Mountain (we the believers), this mountain is the eternal Kingdom of God. That's the Lord's prayer He made mention of God's will and God's kingdom. Tell me how many of us are super happy and satisfied with your country's government? None of us are for sure. Why? Because only Christ is the Desire of all the Nations.
Sienna, how do you know YOU have the right interpretation? There are thousands of Christian sects. Funny if they all have the perfect word from the perfect, wise, all-knowing source. How btw, by what criteria, do you choose which parts you follow, which parts you ignore (like all the misogyny), and which parts are "metaphorical"?

Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
1 Thessalonians 5:21 states:
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
2 Timothy 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
In the Bible, we are taught to rightly divide the word according to right time and people just as Jesus did in Luke 4:17-21.
Pertaining to the prophecy in Isaiah 61:1-2, Jesus stop in the middle of verse 2 of Isaiah 61:1-2 because it represented His first coming. And, he did not continue with the subsequent verse “and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;”.
Because it represented Jesus’ second coming which reference to the day of vengeance which applies only to the people at his 2nd coming.
The bible is God's complete book telling us what happen from the beginning to the end. Hence, dividing verses to the right group of people at the right time period is very important. That’s why we have to divide and realize that verses do not always apply to me, it applies to somebody else in the timeline, it could be either the Old Testament, Christian church age, the tribulation timeline or Millennium kingdom era. That’s how you find and inteprete the God's word.
A complete understanding of the Apostle Paul’s exhortation to “rightly DIVIDE the word of truth” in 2 Tim. 2:15 [emphasis mine] hinges on the comprehension of five interrelated subjects:
1st The difference between God’s dealings with the three people groups listed in 1 Corinthians 10:32. (Quoted below)
2rd The Distinctions between the various Dispensations.
3nd The Contrast between Law and Grace.
4th The Mystery of the Body of Christ.
5th Signs and Wonders during the Church Age.
The first key to rightly dividing the word involves recognizing the distinctions between the three distinct people groups addressed in the Bible:
“Give none offence, neither to the JEWS, nor to the GENTILES, nor to the CHURCH OF GOD…” (1 Cor. 10:32) [Emphasis mine].
Identifying the beginnings and endings of the divisions, essential to correct interpretation, requires diligent, God-guided study; much truth lies beneath the surface. Failure to do so guarantees miss-interpretation, which is the fountainhead of false doctrine.
“It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter” (Proverbs 25:2).
