Honestly, I love Soyeon's writing. It's a bit weird at first, but it has so much character that I sometimes don't even realise that the lyrics aren't technically grammatically correct. I literally only found out Red Five Diamonds isn't the right order, when Choujimi mentioned it in his video and I think that proves, how genius it is. Sometimes changing word order or "breaking" grammar leads to better expressing the feeling or vibe that's portrayed and I think she excels in that regard. Red five diamonds is incredibly more catchier and that's just what My Bag as a song utilises pretty well and I do found that impressive.

Agreed! Red five diamonds just sounds better. I genuinely think a lot of her "bad" English affects meaning in a positive way as well

This is such a great analysis! I’ve always been in the camp of “Soyeon’s writing it great in Korean, but I can never tell if she’s not as strong with English or if there’s some intention I’m missing”. This is why I love hearing your perspective on music!
Wow… This has been in my Watch Later playlist for an eternity… Time to catch up on more of your content! 😭❤️

No one should ever criticize Soyeon. She's a genius!
