I'm enjoying these videos that are getting closer to the 30 minute mark. Ya, i know why you stopped blah blah blah, just saying I'm noticing it and I'm enjoying it. Any chance before it gets cold, you'll be doing your spin on a spider hole/stealth camp build? I'm interested to see what your spin would be on it, as well knowing your imagination, we can all but assume it won't be a disappointment by any stretch!
You have awakened the outdoorsman in me, I am ex-Army and have been an outdoorsman all of my life, However in 2012 I enrolled into a local College and started a Career in IT. This move caused me to forget my grass-roots upbringing for a while until my eye caught one of your videos. Now I am hooked. I am getting ready to resupply my survival arsenal. Thanks for the new life.
Dude i feel you. Its like we forgot. Every weekend when i was a kid all my family got together during summer and fall for camping we would all pack up just to ho yo the woods and the river catch our food the men would let us watch them filet fish or skin and separate deer and everything tasted better cooked over a fire! We did that to stay true yo our roots I believe. Not only the survival critical skills we need if things go bad and well we started feeling comfortable I believe and forgotabout these things. But also i think its like out dna holds memory or something and we also know that just being out and bonding with nature is also something we need for survival
@@IronMan-bl7dd there are plenty of places that are public land , do some research on the areas around you . City folk don't have a clue about anything like that most of the time even though it ought to be common sense .

As an ex-British army warrant officer I love the channel and appreciate the work that’s goes in to the over-nighter. No bul!!hit straight to the point, brilliant, different trying this one on the next father and son camping trip. Thank Brother-in-arms 🇬🇧🇺🇸
These shelter upgrade videos are my favorite. This is what you should be doing if you are ever in a survival situation and don't know for how long. Keep improving things and don't just sit idle.
Finally, someone that shows whether something like this is bullet proof or not. It’s a big consideration that I think it’s overlooked. So, thank you for that!
You Sir have out done yourself, AF! I'm from the southwest, four corners area, and my people have made shelters like this for survival, homes, and winter camps, when herding our livestock. Most call them Hogan's, but basically many were built up in the same manner. Outstanding, AF. Thank you, Corporal Kelly. The video is inspiring, and reminder of my heritage. Have an outstanding week Sir.
3five-seven, AF, I have to watch this all over, once more. I almost get the aroma of Ribeyes, dirt, instant coffee, and spent power, to start my day, made my Sunday, thank you.
Excellent. I love the idea of underground shelter. Bigger bushcraft project would be awesome. Long term survival would be awesome! Not regular construction but bushcraft construction. 👍
Outstanding video Shawn adding on to the bunker would be pretty badass hope you do it because I'll watch and share the hell out of it have a great Sunday
I’m coming up on 60… but I watch your vids and I’m 12 or 14 all over again… wondering what the cool big kids have planned for this week… 😊👍 I like the final thoughts segment too, Corporal. The kids need to hear more of that kind of thing these days.
All of your builds have been entertaining and informative but I think this is one of my favorites. Lots of hard work but fun to watch and doable with next to no cost (gotta buy the tarp). Once again, great video!
I definitely saw part one and I’m looking forward to this part two. Always enjoy your videos and thank you for taking us so long on your wonderful adventures
You should do the week long big one with adaptive survival!!! Both of you doing a collaborative building. Each of you do a room in your own way and show us how.
Man does this video bring back memories. At the family hobby farm/retirement ranch, I built a sod house on the slope of a south-facing hill. Our eldest two offspring worked beside me on the project. The heater was a military tent stove found at auction. The side walls were constructed from the biggest boulders I could roll into place. The south wall had a good size door and several recycled storm windows to allow light and sunshine. What a pleasure to watch the whitetail deer and an occasional moose drink from the beaver pond at the base of the hill. My eldest son passed away unexpectedly a few years ago far too young. I know that my eldest daughter carries a fond memory of the project along with me. Thank you Shawn for this wonderful project, I relived a wonderful time from my past.
Corporal, it's an honor to be a part of your 1 million subscribers, I have really learned a lot from your channel and it's only going to get better. I for one can't wait to see the dug out with extra rooms and how well it heats with your in the wall fireplace. Take care, stay healthy and God bless you and your Family always.
You are so right about doing what no one else does!! I have thought about this kind of dugout for a long time, but when I started looking, no one else had done one on RUclips!! I've thought about the same thing you mentioned too with multiple rooms!! Yes, we DEFINITELY want to see that!!!
Another above in beyond effort. I love the idea of an extreme build like you discussed. Definitely get one of your colleagues to help with that massive project. I also appreciate the final thoughts. I feel it is the universe sending a message that I am supposed to hear. Thanks for the reminder.
I know these types of builds are a lot of work so I can't ask that you'd do them all the time, but I will say that I'm very excited to see a return to form with these types of shelters. I also really like how you're taking a previous shelter and improving/improvising off of it. Really like that direction. Enjoyed, as always
I love all these builds over the years, but I have come to realize that I don't think that I would enjoy sleeping in many of them without my Canvas Cutters Dominator, as I think of all the spiders and snakes! 😆
How did I just find your channel?!?! Your videos are fantastic!!!! As a woman, it’s nice to hear a man who knows his stuff break down what he did and how he did it without assuming we all already know everything. Thank you for sharing!!

CPL Kelly, congratulations on 1 million subscribers. I have been following your channel for a few years and have seen all your videos. They are good and fun to watch. You do not shy away from work to make your videos, reason why they are great.
A snug hole in the ground! A big bunker sounds nice but I liked the fact this was a little one. Small, cozy and warm. Seemed fairly well made to me too. Would love to see a video where you add the little bit to the front which you didn't have time for.
Definitely digging the hobbit hole! I'd love to see you check back in in 2 months, 3 months, longer to show how it holds up. Wondering if it could be a semi-permanent 'way-station' or stash house for food, etc... but moreso just how well it stands up to the conditions. Love your work, brother. Appreciate all you do.
Shawn, nice burrow. I see a number of similarities between it and the trench dugouts currently seen in the Russian/Ukrainian war. Good application of general bushcraft principles. Thank you!
the Ukrainians have been digging in for at least 6 years as they fought the breakaway militia in the Donbass, this is why the progress of the Russians has been so slow
Oh yeah! Your idea for the dugout with multiple rooms is badass. Think of the content and then you can spend some time and maybe a snowstorm or something inside of them. It'll be magnificent. I can't wait. Thanks a lot corporal!

@corporals Corner Shawn! Absolutely love this bunker idea with the fireplace!!! Your final thoughts were inspirational as well. I had planned to move and sell our house 5 years ago. We lived in the city for 30 years and had made plans to leave there and start a homestead.

We got a great deal on our home and have almost 9 acres with woods! I have never felt more blessed. Hard work and visualization of what you want pays off. It’s definitely a good option for a long term stealth shelter which could easily be hidden by brush. Nice fire place too.
