    Rolling Stock: EMD = NJT GP40PH-2B Locomotive #4216 and MNCR F40PH-3C Locomotive #4907. Alstom = PL42AC Locomotives #4018, #4009, and #4032; Comet V Coaches and Cab Cars. Bombardier = ALP-45DP Locomotives #4527 and #4532.
Due to a New Jersey Transit work train striking the overhead catenary wire between Morristown and Mount Tabor stations on the Morristown Line, all service was suspended west of Morristown on said line. While electric service was hindered, diesel service still operated as normal with minor revisions; however, they were all diverted via the Montclair-Boonton Line, thus increasing frequency in service west of Montclair State University. Normally, service is extremely limited between Montclair State University and Denville, so it was a treat to see the frequency of service increase for a change.
I also planned on filming on-board round trip videos of the rerouted trains skipping stops between Newark Broad Street and Denville on December 15th since I was busy beforehand; however, this ended up being the final day of the reroutes, so hopefully I can catch the rides next time.
I will admit. Upon viewing various videos at certain stations about these reroutes, I still made the poor decision to film at Little Falls after sundown. If all of the lampposts on the platform were switched on, there would have been an improvement in the footage for sure. For my first time west of Montclair State University though, I am pretty satisfied with the equipment that I managed to capture on video.
Also, featured in the video is Comet V Cab Car #6057, one of the many Comet V Cab Cars that have had their horns unrestricted, thus giving it a sound somewhat reminiscent of Cab Car #6083, if I am being honest.
Since there are a plethora of trains utilizing this line, there were a few trains, including Train #807 that bypassed a few of the stations between Montclair State University and Denville.
With that being said, the video pretty much speaks for itself, so I will leave it at that. If you guys enjoyed the video, feel free to drop a like, comment, subscribe, share the video with everyone you know, and I will see you all on the next one! :D
