Rolling Stock: General Electric = Arrow III Electric Multiple Unit Cars, Bombardier = ALP-46A Locomotives #4641, #4647, and #4652. Multilevel Coaches and Cab Cars. Alstom = Comet V Coaches and Cab Cars
Similar to the video that uploaded this past Friday, I realized I do not have the station signage as the video thumbnail for either of my Dover videos. While I was there, I forgot to snap a photo of it. My bad, people.
Unfortunately, as nighttime made its presence felt, the lack of diversity also was presented as well, as I only saw primarily Bombardier equipment and speed stripes as opposed to anything vintage plus disco stripes, if you guys catch my drift. At least I was able to film a couple of Arrow III EMU train sets and capture Comet V Cab Car #6002 as it returned on Train #884.
Even though I do not recall ever filming the pedestrian crossing at Long Branch station throughout the times that I have visited it, at least I remembered to film it here, especially since Dover station is extremely out of the way for me. Also, compared to Long Branch, Dover Yard is a bit awkwardly set up because while Long Branch station's yard is west of the station, which makes it easier for trains to travel to the yard and return east, it is a different story at Dover. For Dover, the train has to travel east to the yard, return west to the station to pick up passengers, and travel eastbound to New York Penn Station or Hoboken Terminal.
At 16:20, if I am not mistaken, that orange light glowing on the side of ALP-45DP #4513 as it led Train #1085 indicates that the locomotive is low on fuel. It's pretty cool to see it since I don't recall ever seeing that light glow at any point throughout my time railfanning on New Jersey Transit.
Despite a small presence of variety among the equipment I filmed throughout my 3 hours at Dover, I was happy to see (and hear) Comet V Cab Car #6002 tear up the crossings west of the station with its Unrestricted Roundtag K5LA. Since a decent portion of the K5LA horns on the New Jersey Transit network are Raised Letter, it is always a treat to listen to the original K5LAs unchoked. Truly music to my ears ha ha.
With that being said, the video speaks for itself and I have no more information left to provide, so I will leave it at that. If you guys have any questions pertaining to the video, feel free to ask away. Also, please do me a solid and drop a like on the video, comment, subscribe, share the video with everyone you know and I will see you all on the next one! :D
