So, at the time this was made, Megan was 21, and Rebecca was 19. At least, I think that's right. Geez. Just so much talent at such young ages. When I was their age, I was clueless. Now, 50 years later, I'm not a whole lot clue-ier.
Megan Lovell was born on May 12, 1989, and Rebecca Lovell was born on January 30, 1991, so when the recording was made, Rebecca was already in her 20th and Megan was approx. he turned 22 after a month and a half. But that doesn't change the fact that they are both brilliant, very versatile and incredibly talented musicians! God's gifts to humanity!
I think Rebecca could play a brick and make it sound like heaven. These two are the most talented act I've seen since Pink Floyd. Just so many facets to them and they're just getting warmed up. Still can't figure out why they aren't playing stadiums.
Simplicity and surprising talent are one of the reasons that make Larkin Poe so special. They might not play in stadiums (yet), but their performances make lasting impressions, which is worth a lot. With every appearance, every location of any shape or size becomes a stadium on its own. Also, I highly recommend watching their version of Black Sabbath's "War Pigs", which can found on RUclips. They have genuine talent in their blood.
They actually do play bricks. Well it's wardrobe doors and bathroom walls. But that's more or less the same in that context. I'm sure you're familiar with their cover series? :D
They toured with Bob Seegar's Final Go Round. Tickets were outrageous, FOR BOB ofcourse, BUT once in awhile, the gals got the night off from him and played some interesting gigs here and there. Everyone's right though!. BIGGEST THING in MUSIC RIGHT NOW!. PERIOD!
Great Rendition from "massively" Talented Group!! I'm a huge fan of MA! And Now also a huge fan of Larkin Poe since stumbling across their Mad as a Hatter Live performance. I found that video Only a couple weeks ago.. sheesh! Where Have I been??? Larkin Poe should do a full Massive Attack album... or just more MA songs... Please?? :o)
Talent earned the right way through blood sweat and fears. I hope some producer doesn't suck the life out of their souls because it's a catchy sound, diversity and they're very pretty.
Watch out for them, because they are exceptional artists. Authentic and talented; a rare combination these days. You should also check out their RUclips channel.
OMG!!! It was my random CLICK and now I'm watching the 5th video!! I imagine what she can't do?!?! Guitar, violin, this little guitar (I don't know how it is called) and awesome vocal!!
banjo too. see them live if you can. saw them in L.A. last week. not just rhythm guitar, she plays leads on guitar while singing. and her sister on lap steel is the best.
Would have been so much better if the audio recording had been better without all the distortion ...heart broken will look for more of them really got my interest love their band that dobro is awesom great voices if they come around near where i live ill defintly buy tickets
Fkn legends!! 🎉 And just goes to show they’ve really put in the work, the “hard yards” as we say Down Under. I’m really looking forward to their next stopover in Auckland.
Excellent performance! I just wish the audio wasn't so distorted. And IIRC, an instrumental version of this song was used as the theme for the TV show House, wasn't it,?
su12-17-2023 1.) Girl, how many instruments do you play? 2.) Your talent is stellar. 3.) Beautiful collaboration with your equally talented band mates. 4.) Lovin’ the bluegrass notes. 5.) Wow…🤩 6.) Toodles!

Like me, hate me, don't care. these women are hard to guard. They need me, I'm older so I concentrate on what I'm doing, I play Lead, rhythm, and Bass, when Rebecca drop D, I ain't shook. I feels good and I looks good doing it.
Another fine example of these 2 doing what they do best, entertaining the hell out of us!!!!!

Well, you do recognize raw talent when you see/hear it, so that’s notably clue-ire! 😁

Wat een talent zowel technisch als muzikaal. Ik kan genieten van hun kwaliteiten en inzet, klasse voor de gehele band.
Love the the blues sisters' music. They're just so good, even during the earlier days of their career! 👍👍👍👍👍

All three Lovell sisters played the fiddle from childhood but this is the first time I have see Rebecca playing the fiddle.

Yes, she's definitely not
Just Another Brick In The Wall.
Interesting to see their evolution; they are so much more raw in power yet polished in performance today.
❤❤❤ so very talented and sounding so damn good. LOVE Larkin Poe!
bravo rebecca ! new sound ! and megane ! big kiss
The fiddle went dead so she switched to the mandolin. No sweat.Tight dobro work and harmonies too.

A great move that they made their own take on this song. They turned this song into a catchy masterpiece.
they know how to play perfectly, they have magnificent voices. what else? Oh yes, they are really beautiful!
Thierry Oliva The new Mandrell sisters.
Bet she could kill some Charlie Daniel's with that fiddle.
Now I know why I have no musical talent......these two girls got it all.
They were still Kids back when this happened. Great Girls.
These girls really play! Looking forward to seeing them...
Nice to see early Larkin Poe. Thanks for posting. Can't wait for Blood Harmony to drop.
TALENT ....all caps.... ripping good stuff
What an extraordinary take on Teardrop. Really don't know what to make of it. So, shockingly different from MA's original.
Massive Attack and Larkin Poe? 😲! You just made a fan.
Talent earned the right way through blood sweat and fears. I hope some producer doesn't suck the life out of their souls because it's a catchy sound, diversity and they're very pretty.
Oh mercy... this is the best thing I've seen in a long while!

Здорово!!!
The melody of this song is pretty mutch the same as the one in "heaven knows" by The Pretty Reckless.
Gonçalo Dias what,no,the songs don't even share the same chords
...what? They aren't even similar notes, pacing, or chords? You must be thinking of a different song, bc it surely isn't Heaven Knows.
Hurts. Rick.

Doesn't that little fiddle sound bloody cool...
sound saturation on the drums.
Bass too.
Given that most people think that the original song was about a abortion? They gave it a weird vibe!
in England...... lol
Of course she looked younger,I should have said hotter😍
Sorry for mee a pensonist ,not good for mee to whatch thhis lowely band , I am from Oslo Norway
The original was most better, without the scratchy violine, sry.
Like me, hate me, don't care. these women are hard to guard. They need me, I'm older so I concentrate on what I'm doing, I play Lead, rhythm, and Bass, when Rebecca drop D, I ain't shook. I feels good and I looks good doing it.
OMG……. Awful….. 😂😂😂😂
It stinks.
Massive Attack & Liz Frazier did it so much better. This is awful
