I grew up with Police K9 in my house and owned a chow chow (feared by most sane people) my chow was a gentleman, as my 130lb Alsatian shepherd. I was not prepared for this breed and needed an experienced trainer who specifically dealt with this breed.
Why showing giant shnauzers ???? My BRT can stay home without destroying anythng. They can stay alone and are not that stuborn. Not as much as shnauzers! From good breeders no more dysplsia.
Most of the video imagery here is of the WRONG dog breed! The BRTs have floppy ears, while majority of dogs in your video have upstanding ears. They are Giant Schnauzers, not BRTs!
The Red star kennel added Newfoundland into the breed late in the development. Because when the breed hit adult hood, they decided they knew best and stopped listening to their trainers.
Newfoundland was added indirectly, in the form of so called Moscow diver, the breed is now extinct. Moscow diver was a mix of Newfoundland and Caucasian shephard. That breed was a failure. Btw, video shows most of the time different breeds, not BRT.
Mine loves kids and is very curious with smaller animals. Tries to play with cats which they do not always apreciate. Well balanced in their heads... but find a good breeder.
On many photos there's giant or small schnauzer.

They are excellent apartment dogs, as they are kinda lazy until they need to get to work. I

They are not the dog shown in most of this video. This is a black schnauzer, not even a giant. Seriously?,
They love their family, and need to be with you. Be careful with friends. No ruff housing. The dog will attack if they think your in distress
