The weak chorus Ruins this song.... those soft, weak, harmony girl vocals, just take away the power this song had when she first wrote it.... And in the Electro Harmonix video everybody is talking about - the "auto-tune" Vocoder voice sounded MUCH BETTER than this wimped down, elevator music chorus that some imbecile producer talked her into recording... The CHORUS RUINS THIS SONG. If you re-record it with a better chorus, Kendra, people will probably love it. It's a great song. I know everybody is Baggin' on "auto-tune" these days, but they're just ignorant snobs that Think if they say "oh yeah, that's just auto-tune" it'll make 'em sound intelligent. It doesn't..... But if you don't use the Vocoder (which I LOVED), then at least make the chorus Punchier than the verses, NOT Wimpier, and I think people will love the re-make.

The song is great, and I kind of agree with you, the chorus should have been more powerful, maybe with her singing lead over the harmony, but it didn't "ruin" the song, it could just be improved.
***** Yes, I agree with you, she shoulda been singing lead over the harmony, that would've made all the difference in the world. As for "ruining the song".... you'll notice..... that..... It went Nowhere. Whereas I believe it would've been a hit, had it been done right. I would humbly call that "ruining a song".............
And I listened to it again.... The tempo is a tad too slow... and the chorus is Definitely Ruined.... Just Wimped Out... LACKLUSTER.... And Lacking Luster will RUIN a song. The Little Tags the background singers put in her Verse are GREAT... but in any Song.... THE CHORUS IS EVERYTHING..... and this one just Does Not Have It.....
