I stayed in the studio cabin on the Encore during my Alaskan cruise. It came with a display screen showing an outside view of the ship, kind of like what Disney does with their inside cabins. I thought it was a little small at first but got used to it by the end of the trip. I didn't spend much time in my cabin on the Alaskan cruise. The private lounge was a lot larger on the Encore.
I'm about to do a Transatlantic cruise/Mediterranean cruise on the Getaway but chose an inside state room this time due to there being no solo cruiser supplement which made the cabin cost half as much as the studio. You gotta love those repositioning cruises!
The Getaway will be my third time with NCL and the smallest ship I've been on but I know I will enjoy it.
We have been wanting to do a Transatlantic cruise. It is on our bucket list. FYI we love the Mediterranean.

I just want 2 know how pupular and useful grindr is on a cruise ship.
I am curious how you feel after this cruise. I am a very independent person and eat in restaurants by myself all the time. I dont need someone by my side. However, I have never cruised solo and I wonder if I would feel lonely not sharing in all the stuff on the ship. I have never done this so I am curious how you feel.
I missed Luis very much. We have sailed together for 10 years and we always cruised together. It was an adjustment for me. While Luis’s parents are not well, I have to get used to sailing solo. My next sailing will be on Carnival Celebration, solo on a 7 day cruise. I am not used to going on vacation by myself. I will adjust. 😊

I was not at a studio cabin on this sailing. Had a balcony cabin.

It was a great experience. Still shop for inside cabins for solo because it can be cheaper than the studio cabin.😊

Believe it or not but when NCL developed the studio solo cabins for Epic, they were not meant as solo cabins but for couples. They turned out so small for a couple thus the solo cabins were born......by accident..... and they marketed them for solo travelers. They are super popular and many times on popular sailings more expensive than if you book an inside cabin solo (even though you are paying a double fare). Epic has the best studio cabin area. It seems they cheaped out on Breakaway and Getaway and the lounge got smaller and the walls thinner.
We have sailed on all ships mentioned and this was my 1st studio cabin experience. If an inside cabin is cheaper, thats the route I’m taking. Thanks for dor the feedback and watching!
