I play 5 string banjo and play bluegrass. I participate in jam sessions with instrumentals and singing. I have watched three of your videos so far. I own a TASCAM DR-05X and want to record our jam sessions. I agree from this test on the MOVO mic. And may probably buy one. But, what I am asking is the settings you recommended for the TASCAM when using it for podcasting and the like. What settings do you recommend I use at my jam sessions? Appreciate the vids, and thanks in advance.
Amazing how this vid remains relevant. Thank you for the fantastic work you put into these comparisons. Movo got a 3/4 for me, I preferred the Rode for the Singer/Songwriter part.
In the blind test, I though the Movo won hands-down. I was surprised when you did the reveal, because I was expecting a better sound from a more expensive mic.
A, B, B, A Woah 3 Movo, 1 Rode.. How much are their comparison? Same price.. anyhow. Great video!! On the other hand, I've been looking to buy something like that and used in in such a way.. Choosing between Rode NTG 3, NTG 5 and NT 5 If sennheiser mkh 416 is available and chep, I would go for it.. But right, those 3 are my options.. Any advise? NTG5 has some issues I've been seeing Online.. but if it still has.. will be leaning towards NTG 3 and/or NT 5 Or maybe just one if I don't need both, and one is enough.. Will be using for recording acoustics, guitar and maybe intruments. Or to be used as live stream and for recording for church, singing and guitars intruments.. Lastly.. what would happen if I used one dynamic mic for the singer and shotgun mic on top of both the guitarist and singer at the same time or maybe just on the guitar.. would there be phasing issues? Echoes? Or any problem that would arise.. really curious. Thanks!!
Stuck! The acoustic sounds better on the Movo. However, I feel like the voice sounds a little better with the Rode with singer songwriter. I also noticed you can hear your foot tapping with the Movo over the Rode during the singer songwriter. Hmmm
Question for an audio nerd 🤓 I use an acoustic guitar amp with my acoustic guitar and xlr dynamic microphone. If I were to record this for video (on smartphone) would the movo vxr10 (which I already own) work for micing up the amp? Or would I be better buying a dedicated dynamic instrument mic and running it into my boss br80 recording device?

After unbiasedly assessing each sound output, I can confidently invest in the right mic for me. Thanks a lot for the great test quiz!
I picked Movo every time as well. I'm so excited that mine is coming tomorrow!
I liked the voice on the rode but sound of the guitar on the Movo! Thank you so much for your video ?
Really nice video, thanks for the tips and the demos. I'll buy a movo to rec an acoustic piano. I hope works fine😊

Like guitar on movo especially with the acoustic, but for voice, almost same but slightly leaning still with Movo. 😊 Great and helpful review. 😊

Hi Brian. Great content as usual. Can you please tell me the name of the outro song? I love it. Thanks!
Which mic would be better for Live Band recording/streaming - the Movo Vxr10 or the Vxr10 Pro?
I’d like to know too
How appropriate would either of these mics be for shooting a speaker on stage from about 75' at the back of the auditorium?
Wow!! Lovely!!!
I can't seem to use the movo vxr10 on my guitar, it just cuts in and out and wah wahs any ideas?
Awesome

I had it correct because I know that Movo sound . Check out Boya microphones

These kinds of budget 3.5mm mics don't have large max SPLs, which you need for miking an amp. I'd go with a dedicated mic for an amp.
YOU play guitar too?!?!
Movo win!
