I dearly love my MPX-K. The trigger is amazing. Great PCC for younger shooters to learn on. Yes, the similarities with the AR 15/M16 closed the deal for me - 30 years in the Army, muscle memory is important. Magazines are on the high side but you can feel the quality. I’m becoming a SIG fan boy.
Once, I owned more than 87 firearms, but cancer and other health issues forced me to sell them. All I have left now are two flintlocks, a pump shotgun, a pistol and a Mini 14. The ARs (18), the M1As (6) the M1 Garands (5), bolt actions(9), Lever actions(1), other shotguns(3), Mosin Nagants (6), AKs(3), revolvers(20), pistols (10+), Flintlocks (6) are all gone. Those are the ones I can still remember. I know there were many others over the decades. At least I can live vicariously by watching your videos.
Sorry about your health issues. A reminder that all the stuff we enjoy is pretty temporary. At some point down the road, whether I have to sell them or not, I know that eventually I will not be able to enjoy my firearms. I recommend the MPX-K with the 4.5-inch barrel with a silencer. So much fun and a great home defense option. Most people who say they only use 5.56 for home defense have never shot one indoors without ear protection before.

My local gun shop is having 'Sig Days' next weekend where they'll have Sig reps with a bunch of firearms to try at the range. After this video, I've gotta give this one a try
It really does tinge the idea of ever leaving home. I have a similar range starting right outside my back door. I can’t imagine having to pack up a bunch of stuff and pay someone just to shoot for an afternoon.
Gotta love, and I am not being sarcastic, the random hours we get a Hickok45 video. Blessed we are having this on a Tuesday around 5pm Pacific time. I would of watched sooner and gave the like and comment but I had to shower and cook dinner first.
Yes, they've always made quality firearms, and their prices have always been up there. I know during the days that the P226 reigned, I'd see deep-pockets novice firearms enthusiast buy it sometimes when they were getting into firearms, but mainly because they figured it was the best 9mm out there since it was twice the price of a Glock. They just figured it was twice as good. They had no clue about how different it was in terms of weight, size, action, etc. They just went with it to avoid buying junk, at least in their minds.
@Iori Yagami Using that logic you may as well hand them a long barrel Redhawk. Huge hunk of metal and about as heavy as it gets for a handgun. We judge firearms based on the opinions of people that know nothing about them now? I prefer metal to polymer in firearms in almost all cases when it comes to collectivity or "cool factor", sure...but one of my EDCs is a Glock. Why? It's light, simple, low maintenance, and reliable. If it were made of metal it'd still be simple and reliable, but no longer light. Point, polymer. Trigger feel and preference is subjective. Weight isn't.
Sir I always love u and learn a lot from ur channel. Sig is definately dominating all areas and always my favorite fire arm company and this 9mm caliber is my favorite. I will always pray for ur health and safe. Thank u so much.

This does look like a very nice little gun indeed! It would be interesting to see how much more performance the medium length barrel gets out of the Parabellum than a standard length pistol. I also have a great deal of affection for how Hickok pronounces 'Carbean'. He always sounds like a gun-store owner in the wild west to me!
@@paulbarclay4114 You usually get a little more speed, a little flatter shot from a longer barrel. Plus with a two-handed platform and almost no recoil I think the accuracy would rise over a Glock 17 as well. What would be really interesting would be to measure the performance of this PCC against those rigs that directly mount a Glock pistol into a larger housing. I _think_ Hickok had one once that should have made it select-fire along with given a solid stock and scope. However the result was not very impressive--if I recall correctly there were no end of stoppages and other reliability issues. It is possible I am misremembering however.

It sure does seem like Sig is taking over the world. I'm feeling old with my stash of Glock mags. But $2K for an AR-PCC? I'd have to have a real specific & compelling need for that carbine.
Thing that blows my mind is that Sig's most expensive .223 M400 is $1,700, the cheapest ones are 8-900, and this is 2,000...uh, what? I could see charging a bit of a premium, but 2x or more than the rest of the competition and significantly more than your bigger/more powerful ARs is ridiculous.
Im getting this for home defense. Flat shooting, accurate and loaded with Federal HST hollow points. Using a rifle round inside the home is too risky for me for dear of over penetration and the less recoil, the faster shots on target
I like the MPX, had the copperhead, but give me a regular AR15 or lever gun over that now. Don’t fault anyone for having one, they are serious fun. The only advantage of the MPX is 9mm vs 5.56 over an AR15 but my AR15 costs less and the difference in ammo will take a while to balance out.
