Pamplelune is also my getaway in a hot days. Cheers from Dubrovnik, Croatia, cold weather and north wind called bura. My choice today is Ambre Fetiche Goutal.
Insanity!!! Ican't believe we are one week into the new year already! I clearly remember New Years Eve happening last night 🙄 I found the exact same thing happens to me, if i wear the same perfume on multiple consecutive days. I question the product viability and infact its my brain and nose desensitising to it. Happy to find another perfume enthusiast downunder!
7:28 😂 “unadulterated skank” 😂 I love it. Interesting observation about the nose-blindness from wearing the same scent over a period of time, it’s surprising how quickly it can happen! Your blissful response to spraying on Pamplelune has made me want to get a bottle myself, even though it’s -1 Celsius where I am😂
Love this approach to the rotation. While not a conscious choice on my part, I also stuck to two very different fragrances this past week : Dior Homme 2020(genuinely enjoy the musk & vetiver) and The Dark Side by Francesca Bianchi. And it’s only now getting cold where I live, so will probably stick with these two plus something warming & tonka heavy like Tonkade by Laboratorio Olfattivo.
You inspired me to wear Seville today. I hadn’t worn in a couple months as I think of it as a summer perfume, but I needed to feel the lushness of animalic honey, lavender and orange trees in bloom. I’m excited to see how your experiment goes and if you’ll be able to remain faithful to it for the entire year 😅. Xo
Fumerie Turque was one I just bought after a 6 year “wait”. It was love at first sniff in 2017 and I just couldn’t justify the price at the time, given its limited versatility. However, I saw it on sale for almost half off at retail over Christmas and jumped at it.
Great week, I think there's something to wearing a fragrance multiple days in a row, at least on occasion. No better way to get to know it. Highlights for me this week: Pierre Guillaume Intrigant Patchouli and Ombre Fauve, Carner Barcelona Ambar del Sur. We're having a cold wave, and these hit the spot.
Back when I started my journey, i used to have a routine like this. A perfume a week. And i had loads of decants and samples that i used as "rotation." I wasn't quite happy with that. Once you said that you do not let your mood choose a perfume for you, and the perfume itself must have a role in shaping your mood (not exactly this, but i guess you meant sth like this 😂) and this words from you changed the whole game for me! Always thankful pep ❤

Wear it in the winter and remind yourself of summer

I think that Dior is underrated

Oh, i am stubborn enough to stick with something like this.
Hope wearing Seville changes the brain chemistry like it did for me.

Ah, the wait was rewarded.
