At 11:29, instead of flipping the hidden tile over, shouldn’t you have flipped the other two connected to that tile instead because they are no longer connected to an entrance?
Rodney, My partner and I love board games and we always look you up to see if you have a tutorial for teaching us how to play! Thanks so much for your awesome videos! This one in particular cleared up a rule we weren't sure about when we played Naga Raja recently, so now we play it "the Rodney way" 😁
If anyone cares, Google translate says that Naga Raja means Dragon King in the language of Malay. So learned about a new game, and also learned about a language I didn't know about and now can speak 2 words of it. Boom! Knowledge bomb. Learning is power people. :)
Hello Rodney Great fan of your work. Just wondering, we havent seen a playthrough in a long time. (Used to love those). Planning for any playthroughs anytime soon ?
None currently in the leadup to Gen Con. Maybe after (but maybe not) - just depends on time and my interest - game plays are always harder to schedule/coordinate. I don't want to promise something and not deliver.
Saw this at my local store.. now I know a lot more about it. Thanks for this one, Rodney. I have lots of other titles to add to my collection but I'll keep an eye out for this one. Was my birthday yesterday, I'm 51 now. I think this might be a perfect game to play with my nephew. :D Time to spend that birthday money? Maybe! LOL
Good golly you got money for your birthday?!? Must have been a happy one. Yay for you! Me? I bought myself a painting for my 60th birthday last month. Actually bought a print, but the artist swapped it out for the original because he's a really nice guy. So that was a very awesome and unexpected birthday present. Yay for me! =-)
just to clarify, when a player uses a naga to activate a card ability, the rulebook says to "discard" the fate stick. Does that mean you do not have that fate stick for the rest of the game? My friend had interpreted the rules that way but then we began running out of fate sticks to throw 😭
Hey there, I shot this long enough ago I don’t remember what the video says, and I’m currently traveling for the week so I don’t have access to the rule book. Sorry I couldn’t assist more!
7:50 When the player draws three cards, takes two and gives the third to the other player, does the player who drew look at the cards or divvy them up 'blind'?
I don't know how or where to do this otherwise, but could you do a video for Tigris and Euphrates? I've played more games now with new people because of your videos. I send them a link, we meet up and we're all good to go. But I have the hardest time explaining T&E

@@zaqx69 Have you seen Undead Viking's review of this game? Good grief what a mess. I'd love to see Rodney's take on this one as well, but unfortunately it seems to have gone out of print..? Or at least it can't be ordered from the creators (sold out). I think it must be in Rodney's best interests to stick with games that are more current and will be sponsored by their creators/distributors -- so we'll probably never see it reviewed here. Thanks for bringing that one to our attention, though. Looks fun!

Yep, you are correct!
You've become an expert box flipper.

Ha! Well, I'm glad this was helpful, and I hope you both have a great time playing :)
Yes, definitely looks really great. Lots of variety, and a lot of strategy to consider. Going on the Christmas list!
there are so many great box lid spins and flips on this channel, but this one is just so intense and impressive. Rodney has no equal in the flip.
Man your smile! It's so warm!
I like it all, the art, the theme, the cool fate sticks. Very nice.
This looks great! I love a good two player game. And those fate sticks are awesome. Great video as always Rodney
Thanks! They grabbed my eye too :)
Thank you for the teach Rodney. It’s appreciated. Great two player game.
Glad you enjoyed this one!

Thank you Mr. Smith (My Second favorite Canadian) :)
You're very welcome :)
Thank you - super explanation.
You're very welcome JR!

That looks so fun! I love the Egyptian temple themed stuff, just such a cool style.
Kind of Indian temple themed, in my opinion.
@@Shoikan71 My apologies, I meant ancient temples in general.
Thanks for checking it out!
Could you cover gloomhaven or dark souls the cars game?
Thanks for the interest. I talk a bit about this here: ruclips.net/video/EdtDuvIUa6A/видео.html&t=342
i come for the box flip and i stay for the game
Best box flip comment ever. Well done, you!
Another perfect couples game by Cathala.
Glad you enjoyed!

You look at them and choose which to keep and which to give.

Ah. Thanks for the clarification!
When are we going to see you flip a box in each hand simultaneously, hot shot?
I have to save something for the future!

I always love unconventional dice, and those sticks look fun to roll.
When will the next fund raiser be active? I appreciate the work you do, Rodney!
He is sponsored by BoardGameGeek now, so he no longer needs to do fundraisers.

Hi Rodney, do you know the board game SOL; THE LAST DAY OF A STAR? Why didn't you do a review of it? This game is clearly a sleeper...
I haven't done videos for thousands of games :) So many games, so little time!
@@WatchItPlayed Yeah i'm not surprised loll. Well if you can give it a shot, this is a hidden gem :)

I don't want to do this.. But first?
Also, those pronunciations in the beginning are killer.
Sometimes it can't be helped! No regrets :) Thanks for being first!
I think I slipped up slightly on one of the names, but I was trying :)
