I was not ready for Yoshi just eating the boss koopas and the game not recognizing it. Makes me a bit disappointed that you didn't try to eat anything you could.
I think I can assume the reason now why Yoshi doesn't join the castles or Ghost Houses, it might have been too complicated with him to climb on Grids and open doors if the developers couldn't programe it, this would then force you to leave Yoshi behind in the castle

its because the tilesets used for ghost houses and castles conflict with yoshi's tiles, the game doesn't have room to load both you can see this with yoshi's tongue and when podoboos are on screen
You can see how easy the castles woulc be with youshi he can eat almost anything , can walk on spikes and take a hit for you. As long as you don't eat the boss you can do well if you could have Yoshi in castles.
It's funny that on the castle levels, you don't hear the bongos playing when Mario is riding Yoshi on the castle levels, but you do when he is riding him on most other levels.
Who thought it was actually Sprite corruption/limitations that prevented Yoshi from being allowed to enter the castles? I certainly didn't expect him eating the bosses though😅

you cannot do this. This is hacked.
It is on an original cartridge, however they use a cheat code to spawn Yoshi in the reserve item slot so he spawns in the castle when the slot is ran.
