      True. But a lot of people didn't qualify for that stimulus check because they either were on social security or other reasons. Now if they did get it, that's maybe two rent payments and the crisis has been on going for more than 4. And in a lot of states, unemployment websites crashed and many people couldn't receive payment. There are lots of reasons why many people couldn't weather the storm.

    Do some research on the mess Section 8 has become. If we want to fix this problem all the government has to do is to raise the minimum income level for people needing assistance, streamline the process to get people the help they need, and give landlords guarentees to protect their properties from bad tenants.
    The real problem is income hasn't really gone up in a long time and inflation is killing lower income workers. That's the politicians fault.

    • @MejustMe-ing
      @MejustMe-ing 4 года назад +1

      Section 8 is the reason market rent is so high. Check your local voucher payment standard and you will find that rents are raised to meet the highest dollar amount that HUD is willing to pay so people who dont have the voucher struggle sad but rental caps should've been established

    If you were legally working you are getting unemployment insurance plus $600 per week plus $1200 stimulus so people should have paid their rent. If you didn't you deserve to be evicted. If you have lost your job get another one. Landlords have to pay their mortgages, utilities and taxes. You should not expect them to give you a free place to live. Because of rent moratoriums you are going to see fewer people invest in rental properties which is going to mean fewer rentals and even higher rents. Good luck with that.

    • @CaptchaNeon
      @CaptchaNeon 3 года назад

      A Clem LMAO! The $1200 stimulus was a one time payment AND that covers 1 month of rent in MOST places. $600 a week has to cover every expense including taking care of children which you clearly don’t take into consideration. If a persons rent is $1200, they have to lose 2 paychecks a month JUST TO RENT! “Just get another job” 🤣 Why bish? You have a job land where people can go get a job in a pandemic? This fucking pandemic has lasted so far 6 months and counting and you’re over there talking about “You should be able to pay all 6 months rent and all of your bills, household expenses, food, diapers etc for 2 whopping paychecks a month and a one time stimulus payment” GTFO pendejo!

But not before government bankrupts everyone but me first. Everyone who has savings or assets except mine, should have it confiscated and redistributed to others that didn't save and aren't as fortunate first. Typical train of thought, take from others to help the less fortunate, but don't take anything from me. Take it from someone else. Always from someone else. And of course I will define who it's OK to steal from. But rest assured, one thing you can absolutely count on is this...My definition of who it's OK to steal from will never include myself. Take an economics class or two. Then come back and comment. It bothers me how people focus on people “not being able to save” which I believe is true in some cases but we have major issues with people living above their means and not saving like they could. I’ve been very poor and still saved money in fact I’m writing this from a studio apartment which was a sacrifice I made so that I could save money with the income I bring in. Not everyone who isn’t saving is a victim. In fact a lot of them are driving around nice cars and living in nice houses that they simply can’t afford. We need to empower poor people to save too not to spend everything they have. And I think that involves sometimes more tough love than telling people they’re victims.

      I lived in a studio apartment for 6 years before i saved enough to buy a 1 bedroom. Fortunately, the market was right for purchase. Timing is important too. Save and wait for the right time to buy. Never buy when the market is high. Though it is tough sometimes with a family.

There are so many things that could go wrong in a business and when you have the burden of a loan on your shoulders it limits your options. I trade forex for a living and if I would have borrowed money in the beginning I would have been screwed do to all the money I lost back then. Usually, cash buyers wait for investors who over leverage themselves by taking out loans to go belly up so they can grab these investments at a discount. It's the nature of the game, the market doesn't care about anyone.
