In the uk a gram of silver costs roughly 50p.. to design and cast one item might cost them about £100 ish. However they charge about £70 for each item they sell so they must make a huge profit 😅
It is. All those charms are made in bulk with factory premade mold. They don’t worth that much. Plus they are selling silver with cubic zirconia but priced as gemstone price. Some of the gold over silver products are extremely expensive. You can even buy real gold, not painted jewellery in other big high street stores.
They are relatively inexpensive for the quality. And no, they don't purchase from AliExpress companies. What does happen is that the Chinese companies rip off their designs but use very low level metals. If you want top quality jewellery then you have to pay for it.
@@karolgarley LOL you don't know much about them then if thats what you think. So a bit of education on where things are made will open your eyes
I work at a Pandora store, so it was absolutely no surprise for me that you approve the quality of the jewellery. I must admit I would be very interested in testing of other brands that sell "Pandora like" charms and bracelets cheaper, such as Gnoce. I actually can't imagine that the quality is as good and I think it would be nice to see a comparison

before i started collecting Pandora i had soufeel bracelets and charms i had them for about 3 years before i ended up getting pandora. I still have the bracelets and charms i got from them. they still look good after all these years (i have a lot of photo ones) but their store went down hill after i think pandora came after them for a couple of their charms may of looked the same so they don't make so many now. But their quality was ok not as good as pandoras. i didn't like the fact it did come from china and you had to have it posted to you. unlike pandora you can walk into a store and get help if you needed.
@@jamescelliers3195 What if their daughter is in high school and doesn't want other kids to steal her jewelry during PE etc? Even so, it's still valid to lose things, I lost a pandora ring once after it fell off my finger and I never found it again
I've put acid directly onto items to see if there was a correct silver content. On true silver items, the dull silvery mark left by the acid can be removed with silver polish and and some elbow grease. If plated, then the mark is there forever. A word about magnets and silver: Some Pandora jewelry uses a lobster clasp. Inside the lobster clasp is a piece of base metal used to operate the clasp mechanism. That little piece of metal WILL attract a magnet. The same applies to gold jewelry utilizing a lobster clasp.
I've been collecting Pandora and other .925 European style charms, for about 15 years, since before it was popular. I use these same tests (except for cutting) to make sure I've bought solid sterling jewelry. The cheap Chinese knock-offs are generally magnetic. I'm so glad someone has done a video like this! Well done, great instruction!
I think there's better jewellery available for the price point. My mum and daughter both have silver Pandora bracelets and only get their charms from the Pandora store. I didn't think much of the earrings my daughter wanted from the store either but bought them for her anyway. She only wanted them because they were Pandora and lost one immediately. I replaced them with some studs a fraction of the cost with real gemstones that she loves. You're paying for the brand name, like many things.
Jewellery is always overpriced because it doesn’t serve a real purpose, it’s just pretty. Some kid loosing an earring certainly isn’t Pandora’s fault- shit happens. The idea behind Pandora is that you can collect, mix and match their pieces. And it’s quite durable, you can buy Pandora items second-hand and save a lot of money.
@@sandyberger-r9j I've no idea why you think I blamed Pandora for my ADULT daughter losing an earring, but it was partly down to one of the backs being badly fitting due to poor quality. I expect more from £80+ earrings and its a shame others don't or they'll keep pushing out trash. Of course all jewellery is overpriced, Pandora is overpriced in relation to the quality in MY opinion. If you like it and think it's good value/quality carry on buying it. Second hand earrings for piercings are not something we would wear from a hygiene point of view and, Pandora isn't something worth time wasting hunting down bargains for when there's much more unique jewellery available.
@@sharfalor4244 Just want to add that, of course, I clean any second-hand items before using them. And a number of my Pandora beads are gifts from relatives and I can wear them together. Had each bought me a unique, single item, I‘d be a walking decorated Christmas tree lol.
This makes me feel so much better about the stupid amount of money I have spent on Pandora ☺️ - also just found your channel and LOVE it, well done on this vid hitting that algorithm!
even if it wasn't real silver (which would be a shame), if you like the designs, it is still money well spend (is what I told myself at the beginning of the video)
@@Julieoscar1 That's the shock most people get when they try and sell jewelry. Unless you have an unusual or exceptionally well made piece, you won't get much more than the value of the metal, generally way way less than what you paid for it. But I'm ok with paying extra for good design and quality materials (solid rather than plated, and real stones) that stand the test of time. Jewelry is a terrible investment, but they make great gifts and family heirlooms :)
I understand! I have been collecting Pandora too in more than 15 yrs. since I came here to Denmark. I lived here nearly 20 yrs. to 23rd December. Pandora is one of the popular Danish jewelry design, ot only here in Denmark, but all over the world.
As a jeweller that has worked with silver products for Tiffany & Co, Gucci, Signet Group, Beaverbrooks, F Hinds, Argos and Pandora for over ten years I can only say that Pandora do dse the lowest quality of silver compared to other brands. But love your passion for collecting jewellery!
As a Dane I was, at first, violated by the mistrust towards Pandora Jewelry! But then I thought with all those replica out there it can be hard to tell the difference! So to make sure you'll get Pandora Jewelry when purchasing Pandora, always go to a licensed store! I too have both silver and gold bracelets, all bought here in Denmark, so I have no doubts about the authenticity! 🇩🇰
I always just thought pandora was a sentimental thing more than anything like I love Star Wars so my parents and family and myself get parts of that collection for birthdays / Christmas etc and each piece is connected to a special memory of someone or something . Never thought the jewellery ever really had much value
That's what jewelry is for me. Something that means something. I'm not into high jewelry but I do have pieces that I love. When I wear a piece I get a smile.💍💜🙂
I lost my 15 year old son over a year ago to cancer he loved starwars and the colour blue. I have done a blue star wars bracelet in his honor. I also have a every day one that is filled with special things on it to. Thats what jewellery is to me tells me a story of something. Pandora is really good at their jewellery i have had copycats from other jewellery places here in Australia that haven't lasts as long as my pandora
@@pamelacupcakes4539 I am so sorry for your loss. I am glad that you made a Pandora bracelet in his honour and that it brings happy memories of your son. (And thank you for letting me know that Pandora is such good quality. I shall make a memory bracelet in honour of my parents)
When I used to work at pandora that was the philosophy they taught me. You are selling customers special memories. They even got it outside of the glass windows “unforgettable memories”.
I'm a true Pandora freak! Been collecting since 08 and have over ten bracelets and bangles all full of charms and several more with single charms and pendants. I've got earrings, rings, chains, silver, gold and rose, none have ever broken, lost stones, or warped, I find it great quality! Thanks for this assurance, great vid!
The test was certainly helpful and nice to know that Pandora is of good quality. Actually I was sure of that.😉 The jewels are simply gorgeous and well made! Even have several jewels from Pandora. Got my first charm bracelet a 20 years ago and it is still beautiful. Love my Pandora jewels. Yet it was painful to watch you cut the bracelet and process it with acid, but this was all for a good cause!😉 Thank you!🙂
I agree, it was painful to watch that he cut the bracelet. I love Padora too. I have some charm collection from Pandora. It´s a popular design all over the world & the Danish people are proud of it.
Easy for me to know if something is made of cheap metals, I'm allergic to cheap metals. If I wear something that is not 92.5% silver, gold or titanium, my skin will either turn green or I will get contact dermatitis from it, and sometimes both. And it's not only jewelries, it's hair accessories, belt buckles, even the metal piece inside jeans button, and metal eye glasses.
Same i cant wear cheap jewelry has to be real gold or sterling silver ect can become very expensive real quick i have a nickel allergy and this in most of metals
Same 😂 I have to paint belt buckles bra clips buttons etc with clear polish other wise my skin reacts people think I’m a weirdo but I have to or my skin looses it’s mind
I just like Pandora because each piece is a moment. I have collected two bracelets full of memories over a span of 5 years. You don’t need to buy a full set at once.
that's why Pandora is my favorite jewelry brand. I started to buy it in 2016 and my first items are still in very good condition despite wearing it almost everyday !
Yes, Pandora jewelry is wonderfully made and garunteed. The ONLY way to make sure your Pandora jewelry it self IS authentic Pandora, is to buy it from a Pandora Store.
I see a lot of people criticise the price point on Pandora, and I too as a Dane who grew up with these specific charm bracelets way before they rolled into the international scene, can definitely see that the price of the jewelry is very high just as soon as it is found outside the Danish market... But.. all things considered with the export taken in mind, it isn't that expensive for something you can make so custom and personalised 🤷♀️❤️
As a goldsmith I must say, I repaired quite some jewellery and pandora was always good to work with. All the things that you said are completely broken would be still fixable. The biggest problems I encountered were with Tiffany and 333 or 375 gold.
The materials aren’t to only thing that matters though. Silver is actually pretty cheap at least compared to other metals often used in jewelry. I’m guessing those bracelets probably cost over 100$ but they only have about 10$ of silver in them. What really matters in jewelry is the quality that comes from it being hand made and checked after every step. Which for pandora just isn’t the case I think. So even though it’s real silver that doesn’t make it good jewelry and you’re still over paying when you buy it.
you can repolish the areas that you acid tested. they have just basically become etched and polishing them will bring back the lustre for the most part, or as mentioned before, at minimum trade them in to a gold and silver dealer to get scrap value back so that you get something out of it.
I've had my pandora silver bracelet for years now. I keep adding charms to it. It's doing great, whenever it gets dirty I just clean it with soap and water and it shines again.(silver looks better the more you wash with water and soap) All the charms I have say S925. It's def real silver. Thank you for confirming with this video.
@@elliieevc8108 if soap residue remains on the bracelet the silver will react. Just make sure you really rinse it if you do and regular polishing is good too
I wear mine all the time i use the pandora cleaner to clean it. soke them in it for a little while then take them out into a bowl of luke warm water a little soft toothbrush then off to dry and polish and they look brand new and shine
Thanks for doing this man. I just dropped $400 yesterday on a some charms and a bracelet for my mother and thought to myself is this stuff even worth it. I couldn’t believe I was spending $70 on a little light house. 😂 It’s for mom so it’s all good. Glad to see the jewelry will hold up.
I own a jewelry shop and defiling jewelry is part of my daily tasks. Suppliers tell us what the jewelry is made of but I always still need proof through my own tests. It’s painful to cut through, file or destroy them but after the tests it feels good to know if it’s quality material or just fashion jewelry.
Just wanted to mention that hardware companies now allow sending in a photo of a key to make a copy- just wanted to make sure you know since your keys are shown in the video!
I am so happy I watched this.. I have been second guessing if Pandora was true.. as I had invested in it so much. I can now relax and know that what I have is real
Pandora fan here. I fell in love with the brand and continue to love them even now. Some things have been discontinued though which is sad. It feels so reassuring to see your video. The prices are ,not to sound disrespectful, normal if you want quality and from my previous pandora purchases I can say they are . ❤
This is great to know that Pandora bracelet are a good quality of jewelry. I received a Pandora Bracelet as a gift recently and love it now I can purchase beautiful charms.
I worked at a very high-end Jeweler many years ago are silver was high in silver and still retailed for cheaper than Pandora so it's hard not to call it overhyped garbage, if you think you bought it as a good investment in silver I bet you won't beanie babies and think they're a real investment 😋

Even though it's authentic i find it overprised. Don't know much about prices all over the world but in my country it's is easy to buy the golden earrings or a ring for the same or a little bit higher price from a high quality brand. There's also the uoutuber who bought a lot of AliExpress silver and put it on test, half of it turned out real for like 10$
I was an enormous fan of Pandora Jewelry. It's very lovely and the charms are beautiful. The problem is I had a Pandora bracelet with many charms and put it in a drawer and several years later when I pulled it out it was completely black. I know that silver tarnishes but I have never seen it tarnished like that. It would have taken me forever to clean inside the intricate details of the charms. I have costume jewellery and I don't know what type of metal is made of but I've had pieces for over 20 years and they are still as new and shiny looking as ever. The earrings don't cause any irritation and normally anything that isn't surgical steel or sterling silver will cause my ears to get infected. It is very inexpensive but just beautiful and it doesn't tarnish. I am so curious what this type of metal is. In my opinion I think it's far superior than sterling silver. The problem with Pandora Jewelry as well is when it tarnishes it smells terrible. It needs extensive care and does not hold up well with age. I would like to see them treat their silver with something to stop this very quick tarnishing process. With that said it really is very expensive considering how delicate it is and you're really getting a very small amount of silver. Normally silver jewellery of value is quite heavy.
@@Andi2495 I didn't realize that. I wish I had known. It was such a mess I threw it out it smelled terrible. Thank you very much anyway I do think their jewellery is beautiful.
@@Andi2495 some pandora stores don’t offer in-house cleaning anymore but I know in the uk that you can pay for it to be sent off to their warehouse and have it professionally cleaned, the amount of charms on the bracelet or the type of jewellery will depend on the cost but a bracelet full of charms is £25 for reference. They also sell cleaning kits which have a solution, polishing cloth and brush which can be used to clean up jewellery but only if it’s not SUPER bad will you notice a difference xx
This is a fantastic video, sad about the poor hedgehog lol but it’s good to know the quality after the amount of money I have spent on Pandora!! Brilliant, thank you 😊
Pandora is Danish. In Denmark we have an extremely high level of consumer protection, and production quality verification. This is not the least bit surprising to me. Pandora would have never gotten away with promising sterling quality and not delivering on it.
You should have made two blocks of ice to test the silver. Then the contact area of metal to ice is more or less uniform. Interesting video, thank you!!
Personally I don’t do jewellery. I wear a bracelet though and it’s stainless steel - robust and has withstood many years of teaching in a salt water chlorinated pool. It looks as good as the day I got it. You can keep your sterling silver Pandora.
Exactly. I really like silver too, vintage pieces mostly but Pandora is way way overpriced, silver is not that expensive, ofc they are changing for the work put into making the jewelry but so do ones that sell antique looking ,fine crafted silver. Silver itself is not that expensive, not near the gold, so Pandora is mostly selling their name.
I totally agree! I have never supported Pandora and even got made fun of for it (making me care for it less!) - I still think it's overpriced junk and I'm happy with my decision! 💯
I liked the pliers test because I always thought the inside of their bracelets and chains were hollow. But of course I’m not going to cut my own jewelry in half 😅
HELLO. I WAS GIVEN A PANDORA CUFF BRACELET WITH A HEART CLASP OPENING. I WORE IT FOR 2 DAYS...AND I IMMEDIATELY NOTICED IT HAD SOME BLACK MARKS ON THE BRACELET?? I HAVE SINCE TAKEN IT BACK TO THE PANDORA STORE IT WAS PURCHASED FROM. ARE YOU NOT SUPPOSED TO WEAR THESE BRACELETS 24/7? I WEAR AT THE MOMENT 3 SILVER BRACELETS THAT I HAVE HAD FOR OVER 10 YEARS. I HAVE GONE INTO THE SEA , POOL AND SHOWER WITH THEM. THEY HAVE NOT COME OFF MY WRIST. NOTHING AT ALL HAS HAPPENED TO THEM!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE PANDORA BRACELET??🤔
The ice test works - if you look at the moment the bracelet touches the ice, it IMMEDIATELY begins to melt it as if it were heated up, where the other ice just melts slowly. As the bracelet cools down its core temperature with the ice under it, the melting slows until it appears that the other cup has caught up and they are both melting at the same rate. However, at the beginning, the bracelet DID melt the ice/have a visible effect on video, on contact. :)
The ICE test I assume is referring to the heat transfer where a material can transfer heat (in this case the air) to a cooler material, basically using the bracelet as a heat sink. Traditionally heat sinks are used to transfer heat from a source to the air so in theory silver could work but you probably won't see much unless you also have a fan blowing on the silver the way a computer fan blows on a heat sink to transfer the heat from the chip to the air BUT that could also just transfer the heat from the air directly to the ice and the only way to tell if the silver is transferring heat is if you have a fan that could ONLY blow on the without allowing moving air to touch anything else which you can't. Besides that, the bracelet would have to be very large, thin, and flat so as to maximize contact and surface area, think like a sheet or a disk, for you to see any real noticeable heat transfer (and therefore melting) without a fan. BUT before all that, realize that MANY materials, especially metals will do this heat transfer. It's not limited to silver so you wouldn't be able to tell if it's silver or any other metals. Heck if that bracelet was mostly copper, it would probably melt ice just as if not very slightly faster than silver because copper has an even higher heat transfer coefficient, one of the highest of any metal. In fact most heat sinks are made of either aluminum for the lower end, or nickel plated copper on the higher end because of how much heat it can transfer. So yeah that article lied. Silver does not have the highest heat transfer of any common metal, that would be copper, but just slightly.
I heald my breath when you cut into the bracelet! I have been a Pandora collector for 12 years and I am relieved that I haven't been throwing my money away all this time. Thank you!!
what a brilliant idea for a video! I just rec'd an earring from a brand, Loren Stewart and something felt off, used magnet, passed and then saw their 14K gold stamp but it was a 585 stamp and I have a lot of jewelry branded + non from around world and never seen before but aware of it - on brand's website it stated smaller pieces (mine is) may not be stamped because of size but ironically it takes up same 3 characters that 14K would, whole thing just seemed strange!
Don't worry, 585 means the same as 14K gold, in germany you will see more jewelry stamped with 585 than with 14K. 585 just means that it's 58,5 percent gold usually mixed with copper and a small amount of silver. Your piece seems legit to me :)
hi, im jeweler and i can confirm 100% sure the silver melts almost instantly a block of ice, if you put a ring on an ice cube it gets burried in it in like 6 seconds
The world of the youtube algorithm brought me here. I watched the whole video. Very informative and I checked the other ones as well. Thats awesome work, research and share of knowledge! Keep up the good work! :D
Please don’t chuck silver. You can sell to a billion dealer, have the acid polished off by a jeweller or get some 1200 grit sand paper(if you bought an acid test kid it should come with a small piece) and gentle remove acid stain your self. Also do the test on the back or other area that can’t be seen just to be safe.
Silver is something cheap, I don't know in other countries, in in UK now and it's .50 per gram so a full bracelet with charms and everything doesn't cost more than 10 bucks😅
I hope this doesn’t come across as annoying or rude, and this is the only video I’ve seen of yours (which was great by the way!) so I might just be ignorant to something but I would look up “nail clubbing” and maybe talk to your dr about it at your next appointment if you aren’t already aware! Happy new year!
what they mean with the ice test is that you have a big block of ice (like those big cubes for wisky) and you place the silver on top it will melt the ice around it, kinda eroding it. It will look like if you placed a hot knife on plastic and it melted the plastic. It won't melt the whole ice, just the immediate area around it, so it will melt in the shape of the silver. Most times they do the test comparing to other metals, like a silver ring and a fake ring and the silver ring will erode the ice faster
I own 2 pandora bracelets both are filled with Pandora and Camilla charms. I also have 4 Chamilia bracelets, a necklace, and earrings. All of my charms are sterling, I have never doubted either manufacturer. Sadly, Swarovski closed down Chamilia in 2020, I feel their charms were better quality, but I obviously have a “problem” with buying charms. I also have a filled link charm bracelet from the 1970s and a 14K gold link with many charms bracelet from the 80s. Don’t buy cheap stuff from Alliexpress, it is just sliver toned crap. If you want the real thing, buy it from the manufacturer. If you think Pandora is too expensive, it is fine to buy stainless steel that looks a lot the same.
I have a Trollbead foxtail chain with two Trollbead clasps. The clasps attach to my medical alert medallion. The bracelets sold with the medical alert medallion were so ugly. So I decided to make it into a charm bracelet. I’ve had it over 15 years with no damage. My husband and mom have bought me sterling charms from other brands, including Pandora, and they wear just as well. Once my husband bought me a charm at a Pandora store, and the lady tried to prevent him from buying it because she said the warranty would be void if not worn on a Pandora bracelet. My husband mentioned that I have a Trollbead bracelet, which set her off. It’s a silver bead. What exactly is going to happen with it? I wonder if she was hoping to sell him a bracelet. When all he wanted was a charm, she tried to talk him out of it. I didn’t want the Pandora snake bracelet because it looked like it would be easier to break on something. The only thing I don’t absolutely love about my Trollbead bracelet is that the chain has stretched a bit over time with the weight of all the charms and constant wear. The chain is still in great condition.
Will you ever test Gnoce New York? For some reason, I think everyone is being scammed by them. I feel like it may have other metals inside and that it may not be real sterling silver.
Ask any lab tech and they can come up with a way to tell you what percentage silver something is... I'm sure you could perform a test like that fairly cheaply with no expensive equipment.
Never purchased pandora but have admired it from afar. Prices made me weary and didn’t wanna get duped. It not sticking suggests it’s not copper? Sterling silver has to be infused with another metal to make it stable (as you mentioned) but I don’t want it to be mixed with something that may cause tarnishing. I hate my skin turning green. Has anybody had a pandora piece they’ve used a lot and can confirm that they don’t tarnish?
Any sterling silver jewellery can tarnish over time as tarnishing us just the oxidisation of the metal when it comes into contact with the air and this will occur with any brand, but if you polish it maybe once a week and then just dint wear it in the shower / swimming pool / while washing up then it’ll be fine & under any circumstances it shouldn’t turn your skin green as usually that occurs when the top layer comes off onto your skin & this shouldn’t happen with Pandora anyway. Hope this helps xx
Next time you test jewellery, always do it in a hidden place. Testing marks the metal so you always want to do it on a small link that won't be noticed 😊
Even as a pure silver the mark up of pandora is astronomical. The gram of sterling silver currently is worth $.77 cents so for 30 grams it would be no more than $30. Knowing this is the reason why I have a hard time paying for “ designer,” or these mass produced jewelry
I wish the gold plated was tested. After doing research about them not lasting and fading I returned as what’s the point. Would rather invest in solid gold. Unfortunately items are limited
I might be crazy but the ice with the bracelet in it seemed to be melting much faster. Not a good test though. I feel like it might make more sense if it's just a ring on a single cube but still pretty wobbly. I feel like it would only be reliable to test if something is metal, which is pretty silly.
Just to make it very clear that S925 stamp means very little you can stamp that on any metal and many people do, it is never proof that the metal is silver!!!!!! However an offical hallmark of the country/region you're in is proof it is real and normal with this hallmark you will get the markers mark (such as the jewellery markers initals). This mean you could even trace the hallmarking issuer (for example the London assay office) that stamped the hallmark into the piece, based on the hallmark used on the item. Personally my opinion is pandora overpriced for the higher end items because they are mass produced products however they have a few items that are worth the price if you will enjoy them such as the bracelets with charms and the enamel items. The rings, earring, necklaces that are just silver and have no unique selling point (like the famous charm bracelets) are overpriced. It's a controversal subject if you talk to handmade jewellers (in mt country at least) because we see a lot of breakage from pandora items so there is always the concern becuase it's mass produced pandora doesn't actually put enough effort into checking the items over throughly also negating the cost they're applying to the items. We have also found pandora items (mainly older items from the 80's/90's/2000's) that dispite have the claim of being silver are not and are plated with silver, given pandora items are not hallmarked this is legal and there is nothing to be done about this. Everyone had there own opinion and that's cool i just would aware that you might find the standards are different in different country and items from different time periods.
Nickle and iron are magnetic. This is related to the comment about keys being magnetic. He mentioned brass, which is actually not magnetic. Has no other bearing on sterling silver jewelry except to illustrate that fakes can be magnetic since they are not sterling silver.
Why on earth did you pour acid on it when you can do a simple scratch test. Same thing with the acid turning colors but instead of destroying the finish you scratch the piece against a special tile (comes with the kit) and you can literally test if it is silver or even gold. This would also potentially get past any rhodium plating that might be on a silver piece, though Pandora does not use rhodium plating. Also if you throw the "ruined" pieces in a proper jewelry tumbler for long enough the acid etched portions should mostly buff out. No fixing the cut chain though unless you want a solder point.
Pandora always strikes me as an overpriced trinket. I might be wrong, so i'll watch this.
It is. They source their products from China, Alibaba, AliExpress.

The same applies to gold jewelry utilizing a lobster clasp.
that's a fantastic insight thank you for sharing!
Thats beceause those materials are known to resist wear and tear for longer than softer materials like gold or silver.
With the Chinese you get what you pay for. Solid silver similar style charms VS super cheap charms.
This makes me feel so much better about the stupid amount of money I have spent on Pandora ☺️ - also just found your channel and LOVE it, well done on this vid hitting that algorithm!
cheers Laura!
and yeah not sure what's going on with this video :D
Me too. I don’t even want to think about the total charge of all the charms I have 😱
even if it wasn't real silver (which would be a shame), if you like the designs, it is still money well spend (is what I told myself at the beginning of the video)
Beneficial information. Been collecting Pandora for 15 years so this makes me feel a little better about the money I've spent.
I understand! I have been collecting Pandora too in more than 15 yrs. since I came here to Denmark. I lived here nearly 20 yrs. to 23rd December. Pandora is one of the popular Danish jewelry design, ot only here in Denmark, but all over the world.
As a jeweller that has worked with silver products for Tiffany & Co, Gucci, Signet Group, Beaverbrooks, F Hinds, Argos and Pandora for over ten years
I can only say that Pandora do dse the lowest quality of silver compared to other brands.
But love your passion for collecting jewellery!
@@SamuelPerryBasildon who does the best?
I gasped when you cut that bracelet and almost cried during the acid test but thanks for confirming
I feel you.. it was really freakin' painful
I would love to see/obtain some of the different pandora christmas tree ornaments from other countries. Do you have any?
I hope they test the quality of Lego next! 😉
I have no problems with that either! If you want the original items always get it from authorized sellers! 🇩🇰🇩🇰
I came to the comments to say the exact same thing as you. 😊🇩🇰🇩🇰
In the UK there are strict hallmarking regulations on jewellery. Pandora's jewellery is silver, some mechanical parts may have exemptions!
Usually the springs in clasps and such.
Actually I was sure of that.😉
The jewels are simply gorgeous and well made!
Even have several jewels from Pandora.
Got my first charm bracelet a 20 years ago and it is still beautiful.
Love my Pandora jewels.
Yet it was painful to watch you cut the bracelet and process it with acid, but this was all for a good cause!😉
Thank you!🙂
Really happy that you liked the test as a long term Pandora collector!
I agree, it was painful to watch that he cut the bracelet. I love Padora too. I have some charm collection from Pandora. It´s a popular design all over the world & the Danish people are proud of it.
pandora is not good quality. he JUST proved that the materials they used is genuine sterling silver.... thats all
I always wondered if Pandora was really worth the price. I guess I don’t have to wonder anymore. Thank you!
Same 😂 I have to paint belt buckles bra clips buttons etc with clear polish other wise my skin reacts people think I’m a weirdo but I have to or my skin looses it’s mind

i even get allergies on my finger from cheap metal phone ring stands😭😭😭😭

I just like Pandora because each piece is a moment. I have collected two bracelets full of memories over a span of 5 years. You don’t need to buy a full set at once.
I have been wearing my Pandora bracelets 24/7 for over three years and they look as good as new.
Would you please tell how you kept them in good condition for this long?
that's why Pandora is my favorite jewelry brand.
@Repent and believe in Jesus Christ ODFOD
As a massive pandora fan, my heart was breaking every time you damaged a piece! 😭😭
I'd like to see pandora dupes recommendation. that is, quality sterling or sterling gold-plated pieces that are more affordable
@Pixeam thanks for watching and leaving a comment! Great that all your pieces are sterling silver! :)
So my bracelet won’t get ugly if I shower/bath with it?
@@elliieevc8108 if soap residue remains on the bracelet the silver will react. Just make sure you really rinse it if you do and regular polishing is good too
@@elliieevc8108 it’ll become dull if you don’t polish off watermarks
I wear mine all the time i use the pandora cleaner to clean it. soke them in it for a little while then take them out into a bowl of luke warm water a little soft toothbrush then off to dry and polish and they look brand new and shine
Thank goodness I'm buying more charms to my first bracelet. Thank you for sharing this information. Merry Christmas
I think the better question is, “Is your authentic Pandora jewelry worth the sticker price?”

There's also the uoutuber who bought a lot of AliExpress silver and put it on test, half of it turned out real for like 10$
My heart broke when he snapped the bracelet i love my pandora bracelets
If you go into a pandora store, they will clean it for free with their products

Hi. I'm a Pandora franchise operator. Great video. I will be sharing this with my staff. Look for a bunch of views soon.

I'm a massive Pandora fan, tbh this video made me feel glad about spending money on it. I feel less guilty haha

Oh wow. I’d be super keen for any advice from you!
I’m glad because I got a pandora promise ring from my boyfriend which I absolutely love so I’m glad it’s real.

Don't know why I watched this, but if I stayed until the end on a topic I don't even have remote interest in, you're doing something right
made my day thank you :D
Dude! The ice test worked perfectly!
Hi,great video, you could test Pandora rose just to see the rose gold plating.

Thanks for watching!
So I did look it up just now😅 and I might just take you up on your suggestion to be safe!
I love this! Please test more brands!
Thank you so much for the video. Could you also do the test on Pandora's gold product please?
Solid gold or the plated? As the solid gold is genuinely 14k Gold. The plated is silver mixed with copper then plated with 14k yellow/rose gold
what they mean with the ice test is that you have a big block of ice (like those big cubes for wisky) and you place the silver on top it will melt the ice around it, kinda eroding it.
I just love Pandora
Wrote it down as a future brand to be explored. Thanks for the suggestion mate!
Ask any lab tech and they can come up with a way to tell you what percentage silver something is... I'm sure you could perform a test like that fairly cheaply with no expensive equipment.
Ive put loads Pandora items for Mt birthday list so watching this made me feel better knowing its high quality 😭
7 04 that red on the charm looks Great
I appreciate these types of videos!
Solid silver jewelry has a significant difference in weight to one that is hollow. 😊
The silver does melt ice if it’s room temperature, it says nothing about silver mixed with copper or other metals.
Wow, it is a nice test.
Thanks for the video…. Could you do another video with gold Pandora please..❤
Hi, I have a question about the silver stamp. Is it also supposed to be on the bracelet itself? Thank you!
Hi Rebeka, personally I've only seen it inside the clasp on the Pandora Moments line. Which bracelet do you have?
I wish the gold plated was tested. After doing research about them not lasting and fading I returned as what’s the point. Would rather invest in solid gold. Unfortunately items are limited
Hey thanks for the information...much appreciate. .really liked your video's 😊
Glad you liked it! :)
Thanks for sharing !
Can you do a video testing out their gold and rose gold jewelry?
Thanks for this, am just going to buy Pandora Christmas gift for my Nice.
Nickle and iron are magnetic. This is related to the comment about keys being magnetic. He mentioned brass, which is actually not magnetic.
Has no other bearing on sterling silver jewelry except to illustrate that fakes can be magnetic since they are not sterling silver.
Cheers Laurie!
Copper is not magnetic.
it would be cool to look at the test with a hard bracelet (which is not a snake)
Good idea will try and see if I can make it work. Just need to save up a bit :D
Do you need to pour the acid directly onto the piece of silver you are testing?! What about using the scratch board and dropping the acid there?!
