- If you love rice, you will love my rice pilaf with vermicelli recipe. It's so easy to make rice pilaf! It goes well with many dishes, and it's very filling! The vermicelli noodles (or pasta) are my favorite part. So, are you willing to make this recipe?
What you'll need:
1 cup indian basmati rice
1/2 cup vermicelli noodles
4 or 5 tbsp olive oil

Salt to taste

Love your recipes. I'm sending them to my daughter because she misses my cooking.
Hi Gasia. Just found your channel. My late uncle was Armenian and one dish my aunt learned to make was Armenian Rice Pilaf w/Vermicelli Noodles. It was the BEST! My palate was not as refined as it is today, but her pilaf was always a favorite of mine. No flourishes, absolutely no raisins, just good eating. TY

I’ve only used olive oil. You can do butter if you’d like.

The vermicelli is burnt . Your not suppose to fry it just brown
It’s definitely not burnt. 😃
Some people may prefer theirs more brown. I usually cook mine to around this color and it isn't burnt in the slightest. The first time I cooked the rice, it turned out good but the second time I was mushy because I didn't brown it enough
