Solo didn’t show them the super computer because he was never registered in as a shadow. So the computer wouldn’t haven’t spoken to him. The same reason the computer didn’t speak to George
11:19 When Bernard said he’d let Walker be with Karla when this is all over he TOTALLY meant that he’d kill them both. It made me so mad that Walker was stoopid and just agreed to the plan instead of questioning Bernard’s response
Oh man, thank you. I’ve watched like three videos of people being like “omg Knox didn’t know walker was the rat” and I’m screaming YES HE DID! at my tv. Yall got it. Thank you for having correct opinions, lol
I'm totally on Team Zander: this season has been so, so, so SLOW. The finale of this season will be a major let-down because there are too many loose ends. Plus, the dummy-down of the story telling by the writers. My Pet Theory--that will NOT happen is: the Silo 18 rebellion "succeeds" but when Juliette (and hopefully "Eater" since she's being abused by Audrey) get back inside Silo 18, everyone is knocked-out by gas (The Safeguard)--and when they awake, DON'T remember ANYTHING. Maybe Lukas & Bernard have not had their memory erased. Fade-out. That would be a major mind-fuck. Oh, and to Dan: Lukas CANNOT tell Bernard what he learned. Remember the AI-voice made that point. It's also WHY Meadows took to drinking--and left her relationship with Bernard. This is a very good reveal.
Exactly. Audrey & Chris had what my parents called "raging hormones" and had No Idea it would produce a kid. BTW, I know they're talking about lack-of-food, but ALL of them seem very well nurished, and clean. I wonder if there's a "twist" to their story, that we are yet to learn.
I went back to that scene today, cause i was thinking about that too. She never jumped off the rope to test the depth or really look for a tunnel. I thought so too, but she never got in for real reference. But after seeing the scene with lucas, the water level looks the same.
Season is good, and is funny how people talk like they actually went to school to study the movie industry to talk about production, writing, etc 😅 not criticizing but it's funny when people don't like something they become experts somehow and the people that actually studied and are there doing this amazing show knows nothing
I said the same comment in last weeks review. These guys don’t even watch the episode 2 times before hoping on to recap it. And make so many mistakes. Or at least take notes if they are only gonna watch it one time.
First commentators to openly say Shirley is a bad actor 😊 And the flaws in writing are so hilarious, i had a good laugh with you! But at least the episode was more interesting. Im thinking of reading the books, to fix the aftertaste.
Yeah, they're holding our hands and telling us what is happening this season (like we can't think for ourselves). While in season one, we thought about what we saw and figured everything out on our own.
@@Hobodeluxe007 it's likely that the water level hadn't filled up way high at that point as well. I find it interesting that Meadows made it down there, it means that she likely did the rope thing or perhaps there is a secret ladder to get there safely?? I wonder if she was down there with Sims/Higgins or if she was alone.
I immediately loved how smart Knox was for giving this fake information to Walker once he finds out she was the traitor. What i don’t get is how he knows she’s being watched in that room though… 💁🏾♂️
odd comment about "we only have one episode and a lot to get done". I wasn't aware there was a finish line to cross before the end of the season. what do you expect it to end with? Jules returning to 18? and if you guys aren't enjoying it then read the books instead and react to the books.
What has bothered me most about this season is that we spent all of season 1 learning how smart, capable and unstoppable Jules is, yet for her to go over to Silo 17 and fail to measure rope correctly, unable to accurately gage age with Silo until it hits over the head, and bumble about looking for helmets & suits all season! I agree they have "network TV'd" this show to make it "viewable" but IMO Zander is spot on with his writing comments. We don't need to SEE everything. I think Bernard dying would be a good ending this season but I'm not sure the showrunners have the guts to send Tim Robbins packing. He's so good and easy to hate. And one final note: I think Rick % Audrey may have suffered from the "Blue Lagoon" affect & didn't get "the talk" from the parents before they did the deed, thus the children.
I'm disappointed in how you bashed the episode. All of us are here because we love this show. It's ok not to enjoy the episode but maybe let one of the other guys recap it. You missed soo much stuff. This episode gave us so much information and the actors, I thought, were phenomenal. Especially when Silo told us how he ended up in there and seeing his father shot. Remember at the beginning when the sheriff told his wife that his hand slipped. Maybe do a rewatch because I feel you missed a lot. Like when you didn't know that Walker was married to the woman in supply. I was screaming at my phone. Lol I'm just one opinion. Just a mom trying to give (unsolicited) constructive criticism. I love you guys and will continue to watch every episode you put out. Looking forward to Severance. 😊
the season was slow but the fact that this episode wasn’t viewed unanimously as a pretty good payoff is surprising to me. I thought the emotional payoff was worth it here for silo 17, yet to be seen for silo 18!
You forgot to discuss that the voice asked how Lucas heard about The Safeguard and he replied "Salvador Quinn", so now The Safeguard is probably being activated. Whatever it is.
I feel like the "technically they built 51" indicates that the 50 silos were for all the people. The 51st would be for the leaders or maybe it's one giants super AI computer that runs the 50 silos.
The writing of Season 2 is definitely different than Season 1. I wonder how much difference "binging the series" would make in contrast to the weekly drops. So I'm going to wait for the entire season of Andor and Severance to stream and avoid the weekly release s.
At the beginning of the episode, the guy on the right was full of complaints, which I totally agree on some things....they did dumb the show down for sure. The kids shouldve been shown by episode 4 or 5 in my opinion. As someone who read the books again in 2024, dude on right is spot on about everything he said in last 5 mins.
Zander, you hit the nail on the head: Despite how mediocre this season has been, we're continuing to watch because it's still such a novel dramatic universe.
I keep telling people there was another tv show, from 2014, called "Ascension" with Gil Bellows ("Ally McBeal") and it had a very similar initial storyline--but vers off from anything that "Silo" could move towards. Still a good show.
I disagree, I think confirming that solo was the head of ITs son was a helpful call out. Not everyone watches breakdown videos and as into the show as we are. I don’t think pandering to more casual fans is a bad thing at all.
Gotta love the lack of emotional intelligence the arrow-girl has… her logic is so dumb. I have a baby who needs food, so i going to eliminate the ONE guy who can get inside the vault and get food…. 🤦🏽♂️😑🙄 She would have been better off with the Sarah took in “FROM” with Elgin! 🤣🤣🤣
According to Solo, everyone was fine when they first went out, until the strange wind blew. So I don't think opening the Silo implies that people can't survive in the Silo, if they could survive outside, until the wind, which could've been part of 'safeguard'. So to assume those kids surviving wasn't possible, even so as to sarcastically say "maybe they all had suits", is being overly negative. Almost as if you're just looking for something to critique.
When some folks can’t seem to get that Knox is on to Walk being the (traitor) you ask why we have to review. The episode shows you the status of each s17 survivors. You think they all get all along. You know what happened between these survivors ? Why don’t you wait till series over then you can blast your way through and skip over the slow boring parts. You have no idea
Maybe it’s a reach but the number 51 is so random, could they be in Area 51? Being tested on? I also find It insane that Jules didn’t notice the big ass tunnel that was right there when she was hanging on the rope…Lukas didn’t need to look hard for It or even walk around so idk how she didn’t see It lol (I know it’s just a tv show but It doesn’t make sense) also the acting in this show is sometimes so cringe it’s hard to watch. I agree with Xander, the plot of the show is sooooo good but the writers & actors are not delivering the way they did in season 1. One scene could be sooooo good & the next It feels like a student project 🤷♀️ sorrry not sorry
Definitely that was an exciting episode. Some advice to Xander, yes we can pick apart minor things but it's more fun if you let yourself enjoy the ride. Anne Heche is clearly the worst actor ever, Stephen Baldwin is the runner up. Shirley isn't even close.
I feel you Xander this episode could of been like episode 3 instead of these flashbacks of 💩 we already knew. This was a good episode and it was handsdown the best episode of the season says it all. You guys are basically explaining why I dropped off this season around episode 4... too many ridiculous events (axe splits rope & air tube etc) / vague motivations / kids surviving an unsurvivable thing / strange water levels / exposition dialogue.. just strange if not lazy writing. And shit like multiple episodes not revealing anything, then cramming hella info into some random episode etc etc etc etc.. Eater's word 🤮 def felt like a bad cutscene in a videogame.... The safeguard is flooding the silos. Solo knew about the pump and that water was rising because he was being groomed by his dad to be head of it. The safeguard was in effect for 17 to kill off potential survivors.
Solo didn’t show them the super computer because he was never registered in as a shadow. So the computer wouldn’t haven’t spoken to him. The same reason the computer didn’t speak to George
