  • For the first time ever a model exhibition has been held at the Northampton & Lamport Railway. Organised by Jack Colby the event was well attended and went off without a hitch.
Ryan MG is with me and with both of us there, we managed to capture the experience of the day in one magical video for you to enjoy.
We start the day by capturing the first positioning movements and then head down to the new Boughton Station at the southern end of the line to
capture Hawthorn & Leslie No.4 Ironstone engine. Capturing No.4 heading the first passenger train out of Boughton was my goal and with that complete we hop aboard directly behind that very steam train to the model exhibition. I lost Ryan to Wansford Miniature Railway so I met with the legendary Tony of Tony's Model Trains who's based in Rugby. I met two of the youngest exhibitors who are doing well at setting the example for their generation and then saving best til last, I met with Northampton & District Model Railway Club who have some sad news but maybe a viewer here, may be able to help with. If you can message them via Facebook.
Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who made the day an epic one. The railway is always looking for volunteers so if you have time check out their website for more information. NLR.org
